    You could run the mini lights, but what works great is led ones! My 4wd club does a Toys for Tots Xmas Parade every year...I did a loop around my entire lumber rack (about a 50ft. string of LEDs and ran them off an extension cord from a baby 12v outlet Inverter (I believe only a 95 watt inverter)...Parade was Dec 1 and I ran the lights until New Years....never got stopped, but actually got a couple thumbs up from the local sheriff's. But that be up in the mountains. You can sort of see them on the front under the white stuff....never a hassle with the cops.

    I bought some colored LED lights last year after Christmas and I just put on the utility tracks ( the tracks for bed cleats) that apparently the previous owner took off so I finally got those. I will be running lights on them soon. Does everybody just zip tie them to the rails and then plug them in the outlet box in the bed and then press the power button inside the cab while driving? Is that how its done?

    Before I had my tonneau cover. I just used the tie downs. Now I just go around my cover. Wrap em tight around a tie down inside the bed, pull tight. Good to go. And yes, I leave em plugged in then just hit the button.

    I don't have any bed cleats. I haven't found any at a good buy yet thats not $50 a piece. The rails do have some hols on each end that I was thinking I could zip tie to.

    That would work. Only issue with that, and that I had using the cleats is that they weren't very visible. I think someone used the light gutter hangers around the bed. And they worked out well.

    yup.. I did the bed and sliders last year.. will be doing the same this year.

    thinking of doing classic Christmas colors instead of all "cool white" like last year. although it went nicely with the truck.. :D
