Thanks, Bud! It was a few years before I got back on a street bike....More like 9. I got myself back in shape riding dirt bikes, and in 2002, I bought a street bike again. Sold both a couple years ago.

my turn, i regret not spending more time with my uncle before he committed suicide. him and my aunt practically raised me while my single mom worked 2 jobs to make ends meet. my uncles WAS my father figure. he had a terrible coal mine accident that nearly took his arm, he wasnt the same afterward, resorting to alcohol. my aunt left him a couple years later, his mom had a brain anureism right in front of him and died. he had 2 dui's in 3 days and was facing prison time.

he went up to PA to visit her grave one weekend, left everything at the house which was strange. went missing for 7 days, found him in the woods hanging by his shoestrings. ever since my aunt left him i stopped coming around. i wish i would have talked to him more, maybe let him know he was wanted here so maybe he wouldnt have done what he did

    and yet another one...

i used to work at golden corral. i was opening one morning, a server id known the 2 years id been there came in. she was 56. she sat down and was talking. i walked off, heard people hollering, came back and saw here blue. she had had a massive heart attack. i panicked for about 20 seconds and did nothing. i finally came to my senses and gave her cpr, kept her alive long enough for emt to get there. she died later though.

i still think if i wouldnt have hesitated, i couldve saved her sooner

    Many years ago:

Me saying to the guy riding on the back of my Honda 350, "Hey, wanna see how a spaz shifts gears?"

Last thing I remember was the front wheel at 90 degrees.

Among the injuries, I still have a 1" scar on my forehead right between the eyes from hitting the handlebars. He has a deeply scarred ankle from ending up under the manifold header.

Good times. We're pretty proud. :D

Geez meteoraman, that's a couple of rough ones.......But the thing about regrets is that they don't get anything accomplished.Life is a series of learning experiences and we'll make mistakes 'til the day we die.I think the thing to do is recognize when we may have been able to do things differently and try not to repeat them over and over.

If when I go to the happy hunting ground I'm able to say that I hurt as few people as possible(besides myself) and tried to be a decent person,I'll feel pretty good about things.

Now,......I started an old fire engine while it was in gear one night and it smashed through the doors of the house I was working in.I had been on the job for two months......I regret that!:D

Lol - Can't ya though? Still cracks me up thinking about that 'spaz' moment before things went black.

I regret not spending more time with my sister when she was dieing. I couldn't get past my anger at her for making me watch her die (I'd watched our mom and dad die and coudn't do it again). I KNOW she didn't plan it or anything, but I was so upset and really had no one to talk to. She's the one I talked to when mom and dad were sick. When she was sick, I had no one. She had cancer and waited until she was very sick to go to the doc.

It all happened so fast that I didn't have time to wrap my head around it and by the time I did, it was too late. They gave me this book dealing with dieing and if she'd followed it, I'd have known it was getting closer. No, she had to do it all in 12 hours.
