help! I stripped my brake line fitting on the passenger side, that 90* fitting bracket.

had a slow leak on the fitting after taking loose for brake hose replacement and when tightened the threads popped off

does anyone have one for sale or know what I can replace it with? I assume its not regular standard brake line threads I can get a generic replacement part for it or is it.

    THREAD UPDATE:
I got the part I needed thanks to markmb45

I also wish to thank all who tried to help

If you are talking about the actual brake line fitting on the steel brake line, you should be able to purchase the metric fitting at any automotive shop .With this said ,you may have to purchase a complete brake line with fittings on both ends but its do-able.

but the million dollar question is thread matching the fittings.

that's what I have no clue about if I can just walk in and grab any old brake line fitting and it will work or is it metric with special threads and all that crap?

or should I just buy a ss 90 compression fitting for it and cut the ends off the metal lines?

I called Toyota but she keeps talking about a bracket and im thinking she is looking at the hose bracket with the clip so I don't know if this will be a junk yard part or not.

I will be going down there tomorrow if I don't figure something out for it because I need to see what part she is talking about on her computer.

if there is one thing I hate about these Toyotas is so many parts are NEVER shown on any parts diagrams anywhere just like the differential breathers and the metal brake lines and their fittings.

Are you talking about the fitting at the end of the hard line?

If yes....You'll have to cut the end of the hard line off to remove & replace the stripped nut. Then...you'll have to run the nut on the hard line and use a flaring tool to flare the end of the hard line. And that's all assuming you have enough hard line/room to cut the hard line short.

    do you have any photos?

no, its the 90 degree metal fitting welded on a bracket screwed to the passenger side frame rail where the crossover metal brake line comes from the drivers side and goes across and down the firewall to the frame rail and screws into this 90 degree fitting. that whole section I just described is still perfect but the outlet side of the 90, the output end, those threads are gone so I need the 90 degree fitting and the short metal line that connects from it to the rubber brake hose going to the caliper.

here are the pictures of the bracket I need:

    I have the short line too. It's off a 99 4x4 tacoma. I can send in a small flat rate box. I think @ about $6 .
PM me your shipping info. And I will send my paypal info. Glad I didn't toss those parts.
