    Pretty sure we've done 10 offers 12 months. Our market has been flooded with cash buyers buying investment properties, paying asking price plus 20% without even seeing the property, so it has been a fucking slog.

    Market is winter slow though, and this place was in escrow with someone last week but the buyer lost their job unfortunately, so came back up. Listing agent was anticipating 2 offers to come in but that may have been a bullshitter statement, either way this afternoon we signed and submitted an offer for full asking price and at that time there was no other offers, so who knows.

    Definitely. I know a guy who looked for 2.5 years before they got into a home, and a friend of my sister's wrote like 68 offers before they got one accepted. Come January we are done shopping and will rent, we are not into the realty game after a year, and prices will shoot up in spring/summer and the investors will be deep again. It was an issue all summer.
