Wanted to introduce myself. New to the forum and just picked up a new Tacoma DCSB TRD OR. I have had many cars (too many as the wife reminds me) but this is my first Tacoma. Looking forward to starting a mild overland/expedition build. Does anyone have any recommendations for reputable shops in the area? Looking at tint, alarm, wheels/tires, and lift to start. I'd prefer to do some myself, but haven't done my much work on a vehicle outside of basic maintenance. Cheers!

Definitely in for some camping. Deer season has pretty much taken up all my weekends for the last month or so. Need a break soon. Was thinking about heading into the national forest somewheres...

Thanks! Will do. Just need to figure out what I want to do for wheels, tires, and lift.

Are the trails out in GWNF doable in a stock truck? Thinking of taking the family out there to explore and hike.

Howdy  any meets happening in NOVA anytime soon?

very doable in a stock truck, just use your brain when picking whether or not to try certain trails. you can bypass a lot of the hard stuff.

Is anyone interested in a meet on December 2nd? Figure we could get it out of the way early before the end of year holidays pick up.

Weddings do cost. Been married for over 10 years now. An idea, coming from someone that sold vehicles for many years.

Sell it, or trade it in. If you sell it outright and get something you want money wise. Use a portion of it as a downpayment and stick the rest in a separate account. Have your monthly payment auto drafted from that account and never touch it.

Just a thought. I would help people do this when I was doing this as a profession. Builds credit and you can map out when you would actually have to start paying out of pocket for monthly payments.

Also, I would check kbb.com for realistic numbers to expect to sell it for. Also, Craigslist in the Virginia area is a great place to move a vehicle fast.
