I pm'ed a while ago myself asking if these were actual new in the sealed box from Toyota and just can't seem to get an answer. I have also asked this question within the thread and nobody can answer it. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

The radio I received from FLTrucks was manufactured approx. 10 months before I received it. It appeared to be in new condition. It also appeared to be a take out from a new 2014 Tacoma as it had no factory packaging or supporting documentation, but was in perfect condition.

I didn't care that it wasn't in a sealed box as I didn't pay the sealed box price. It works perfectly, was very reasonably priced, came with all cables, screws, and a GPS antenna for the Navigation. I also got a smoking deal on an XM module as well.

The entire process was painless (yes it took a little time) and well worth the wait.

it is new... but not in a retail box if thats what you're asking.

He provides these radios (from what I understand) to TW members as a favor for us and is not the sole means of his income. be patient, wait for your PM from him to pay the invoice and then enjoy your new nav radio.

u2knetworks - I changed the steering wheel controls over to the 2014 version to use voice control on the new radio. There is a thread here that explains the conversion process.

You do use the existing hands-free mic to control the radio.

My unit was made in October 2014 so these are pretty fresh units. My gps did take a little bit of time to calibrate but it works fine. Still waiting on my adapters to come in this week for everything else

I have a 2012 with handsfree. There is a button on the wheel and it works seamlessly with the navigation unit. Is that something they deleted for one year?

Hey guys, quick question that I'm curious about.

I have an 08 Non-JBL. No bluetooth or steering wheel controls, etc. I got the radio in the mail today and went ahead and installed it. I only had the antenna converter and the nav cable on hand so I went ahead and popped it in.

The radio is picking up AM/FM, navigation, traffic, weather, etc perfect. Gotta love some HD radio!

My problem is that it won't let me pair my phone for bluetooth audio because it says I don't have a microphone plugged in.

Any idea if this issue will go away once my 20-28 pin connector comes in on Friday or do I need to go ahead and install a microphone into the 20-28 pin connector for it to allow me to use the bluetooth audio feature with my phone?

Any insight into this would be great! Thanks

I originally sent a PM to request a unit on 10/7 and got a response last week. Unit arrived and was installed today.

If your truck didn't have a factory hands free system installed then yes you need to buy the additional mic kit to plug into that 20-28pin adapter

I got the PM on Friday, paid Saturday, had the new radio today and installed this evening. I used the search function to find a EE type vehicle at the dealership which was in WA and used that VIN to create my Entune account. Everything works but I still have to figure out the messaging feature. My '15 was already wired for the GPS antenna.

Installed the USB adapter cables today, I didn't need to get the extension cables since the adapters reached the headunit fine. But everything works great big thanks to fltrucks for the Headunit.

If anybody has issues or questions on the installation of this headunit in a 2012 feel free to ask me

Thanks FLTrucks. Just received my radio today. Should be installing it in the next day or so.

For those of you looking, be patient and he will get back with you. My radio has a manufacturer date of November 2014 for those of you wondering what manufacturer dates are on them.

Thanks again FLTrucks. You are doing a good thing here for the forum members...
