    Hey all.
I'm Shaun from Calgary. Got my Tacoma a few months ago. Done a bit of wheeling, I had a JDM land cruiser awhile back that was damned easy to drive. For now my taco has a 3inch spacer lift (came that way... I'll get a real lift soon enough) with 285/70r17 tires on it. I'm not overly experienced but I'm a capable driver for sure. Love to get out and learn from some of you and make some new friends.

Ha, I bought a 2015 DCSB TRD Sport three weeks ago and figured I would leave it alone, that I got the spending out of my system with my 2007.

Nope, not the case. Couldn't have been more wrong. Yesterday I put TRD "Beadlocks" and BFG KO2's on it. It never stops...

Keep us posted on how those tires do in the winter? I wasn't a fan of the originals but the k/o2 look pretty tempting

For sure! I had the originals. They weren't great on ice, but on snow they held their own (still not as good as a dedicated snow tire would).

I don't know how long I'll leave them on though. I have actual snow tires as well, but I swap between them sometimes depending on where I'm working.

I'm interested as well. I went with duratracs on multiple recommendations that they do well on pretty well anything, have yet to test off road in snow, but they are pretty great in fresh on road deep stuff. Iffy on ice, but I'm used to a heavy ass subaru with winters, so I was spoiled. 250lbs of sand in the bed helps A LOT

The KO's worked pretty solid for me, and I'm a Wellsite Geologist, so I've driven with them in pretty much everything. Blatant ice is really the weakest point, but that's true of any A/T tire unless you've studded them. The tread pattern on the KO2 doesn't look significantly different from the KO (perhaps more sipes and other smaller updates), but the shoulders and sidewall are much more aggressive.

I've been told the cycling is great up there. Might have to start throwing my road bike in the bed when I go up for service in the warmer months and just tool around when the truck is in the shop.

Well the mud is frozen, but a few of the smaller creeks are still open water, but not an issue
