so I talked to ECGS and this is the reply I got: "The rear diff would be $635 plus an $400 additional core charge. We could retain the LSD in the rear or we could put a locker in it. The best locker for daily use would be the ARB and it is $875. The front would be $600 plus an additional $400 core charge. The front locker would add $875, there is only one available and it is the ARB. If you don't want a front locker we highly recommend getting the clamshell bushing installed which adds $45. You can find more info on the product pages on what types of lockers and limited slips we have available for the rear." Is that really how much it cost to regear something to 4.56??? I had no clue it was 2K+! The wheels themselves will cost around 1600. I dont know how comfortable I am getting the wheels without getting the regear, my lack of knowledge makes me feel like it'll mess the drive train up not doing it at the same time or atleast soon after. It may be a little bit of time before I can dive full in for all that. Does that cost of everything line up with what you guys paid (if you dont mind me asking)??? I spoke with Curtis.

Keep in mind on that core charge you get it back when you send in your old rear or front diff. And that is pretty close to what I was quoted. I am doing my gear and at least rear locker in Jan after income tax. The goal is for front and rear but we will see how cash flow is at that time. I have a feeling that 3 months almost 4 unemployed is going to hit my taxes hard.

so you get the core charge (400$/diff) back??? I didnt know that and they didnt metion it. Basically the 2 core charges would pay for the rear locker, totaling about $2110 (before taxes).

Pretty much, if you get an arb locker you will also have to get a air compressor to used the locker

Would the same air compressor that kurt has under his hood work for the diff? And if so, could I purchase that but have them hook it all up?

Any of the arb compressors will work. Levi has the small one, I have the medium one and Kurt has the big one. We are talking about compressor sizes of coarse ......

    Likely story...

So would I need to get the compressor installed before I went for the locker in NC or could I get all that and then install the compressor once I returned home from getting the gearing and locker already installed?? I feel so dumb on this subject cuz I have absolutely no idea how an air compressor even begins to connect to something in the rear axle???? Feel free to make jokes at my expense haha (Levi, I may need a whole week up at your place to make all this happen...no homo...well maybe the tip)

Oh he's gonna want more then just the tip ......

You can install the compressor at any time. Don't worry about it at the moment unless you want to. Obviously you will need the compressor to use the locker but getting the gears and locker in is the hard part. Mounting the compressor and running an air line is the easy part. Wiring is a different story though. Haha

Yeah even the wiring diagram is slightly confusing, especially if you don't hook up all the wires

    True!

On another note I'm starting to piece together my co2 kit.

I have a 20# tank on eBay I've been looking at and hoping I can get it for $100 shipped

Then I think I'm going to go with wheelers co2 regulator I'm sure there are cheaper ones but this one seems compact so it won't be as easy to sheer off.

Then Lowe's should have a decent hose and air Chuck.

My goal is to only have about $175-180 in the set up
