Turbo Cheaper and you still get good sound, more power/torque and stuff.

I guess I shouldn't say "newer" Tacomas, really it's all of them that have a locker, they aren't constant on. I've had experience with the constant on lockers and they sure do sound like something catastrophic just occurred underneath your truck when they do pop

    It does on occasion lol

    Behold...the teal taco!

They do make chips. One guy has been trying to sell one on here for a few months if you're interested. That'll give you a hint as to how TW feels about chips.

Are you getting it welded in or the American Thunder kit. BTW Tooter did some leg work and found a better muffler for the Tacoma than the normal 50:

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/pe...agnaflow-versus-flowmaster-showdown-dyno.html

The delta flow 50 seems to sound good on all the N/A trucks. Keep in mind that with a stock truck you may find some loss of low end torque the more you open up that exhaust and slow down the exhaust velocity.

I have had the Super 40 on my truck (single in/dual out) for a while, and it cost me some power and mileage when my engine was N/A. I took it out then S/C. After the S/C I found it gave me power when I put it back in. All butt dyno "facts" of course but it goes to show you sometimes exhaust is more about sound than power when it goes on a stock truck.

Yeah, please don't chip your truck. IF anything get a UCON or other reputable EMU and have it tuned at a reputable shop. DO NOT UNICHIP OR EBAY YOUR WAY TO GLORY (GLORY being a short trip to a blown engine and/or massive FUBAR inducing error).

If you want reliable power slap a TRD blower on that truck. If you want even more power and you're willing to spend the dough throw a URD supercharger kit in there if your truck is pre 2009. With a ton of supporting mods the URD, and even the TRD, will rival most turbo setups on road and spank them off road were spooling=fail. If you want to spend years trying to get the tune/valving/computer working right get a turbo. Turbos are cool but they are NOT bolt on mods for our trucks.
