I'm sorry, but I do know what i'm talking about. You had your Extang installed by someone else, someone who may have caused the dent himself and then told you it was the fault of the Extang. I have no ties with Extang myself, so don't think I have something to gain here, but I do have an Extang, I installed it myself, and please believe me, you've been had by your installer.

Hey Alan, I have said nothing bad about Extang, in fact they have an awesome quality product and better customer service. I went on this thread to tell Chad that when his rails are ready I will like to buy them. I attached the pics just to show how crappy the oem rails are. And all of the sudden you came all defensive at me, why??? who knows. So I hope I've made myself clear to you, and if you still feel you want to continue your rant, rant away!!!

Omar, I wish you well. Perhaps it was your brother in law that installed your Extang. Brothers in law must be defended to the death, but you don't have to go back for more.

Can we get back to the pictures of the sleek bed rail caps, and leave the housewife bickering to a different thread?

KB, have any pics looking at it from the side?
Does the cleat/rail system just bolt right back up?

My garage was too small to get pics from the side, haha.

Yep, the cleat rail bolts back on right over the cap.

My brake press operator banged out 19 sets this afternoon. They go to powder coat tomorrow. I'm going to lean on him HARD to get them back to me early next week.

Cargo baskets are also going to powder coat tomorrow. http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/348482-powder-coated-cargo-basket-kb-voodoo.html

That one is going to throw me a slight curve ball, because they won't fit in my powder coater's oven.

I have another source though, so it won't be a huge issue.

I am so in on the sb side rails! When you think you will have them avaliable? I want to make sure to start putting $ aside!!

Voodoo, I just got one of your tailgate caps a couple weeks ago, when I installed it, it had a small chip in the powder-coat on the side edge, anything I need to worry about if I don't touch it up?

That's nice to know that it's an option. I'm gonna buy a tailgate cap and LB side rails when they're available.

19 sets of side rail caps in my garage at this very moment. Tomorrow morning, they slide on over to the powder coat dude.

OK, now, we all like holes, but it is very important to most of us as to exactly where we find those holes! The location does matter, unless you're drunk as a skunk and it's totally dark, right? :D

So.... Chad, will you please give the dimensions of the holes and relationship to the inside edge of the bend? This so I can determine if the holes will be compatible with the weatherstripping of my Extang TriFold. You gotta understand, I'd hate to wake up in the morning to discover holes of a sort I wouldn't normally have... done!

    Thanks!

    I hear ya broski.

Come Monday I'll make a plan view drawing of the cap with hole locations and post it up.

Depending on demand, there can definitely be a version without holes.
