It looks like I will be picking up a 2014 Reg Cab 4x4 tomorrow. I'm excited to get back in a Tacoma and I'm a sucker for the regular cabs. Will be lifting it a little (about 2.5") and running 265/75-16s. Gotta figure out which way I want to go with the lift. I just want it to ride good on-road and perform good off-road. Any suggestions are welcome...help me spend my money! I may just get some coilovers and keep it simple, but I don't know which ones are best for ride quality. Time to do some more reading........

I just bought a 11 reg cab 4x4 3 weeks ago and just order the icon stage 1 kit from wheelers. They gave me a great price. Good job on buying the last year reg cab ! :(

I'm happy for you, man. :)

Take good care of it and keep it a long time like your '89, and it'll be a real collector's item.

Big wheels and fat tires will make you lose low end power because they raise the gearing... especially on a 2.7. And the 2014 is heavier than your '89. (I had an '88 ) So if you go the big wheel route, you may need to regear to compensate.

Patience, Grasshoppa, patience! I just ordered all the stuff and will be installing it all over Christmas. I know, I'm a little behind schedule, but shit happens.

You are doing better than me. I ordered leaf springs and rear shocks back in May. I have had the coilovers for the front and all the other small things since september, but still don't have any of it on the truck. Haven't had a free minute since.

That will be one nice truck and post the pictures when you get them.

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
Yep, 2014 marks the final year for the regular cab. Hang onto it! And post pics too when you can.
