That is so bad ass! I really want rock lights/under carriage lights sometime soon and definitely love this idea!

Sean- How do you think the Toyo RT's will do in snow? As good as duratracs? And as everyone else has said, love your build!

    ...too much shit to list.
Looks like the rock lights are just wired to the dome light supervision wire of an aftermarket alarm.

So what is the difference between a 17x9 and a 17x8.5 like you have?

I just picked up a set of these same tires and I am potentially going to run a 17x9 Fuel Hostage with 4.5" BS. Wondering if I will need to run wheel spacers.

Also where are you rubbing if at all?

If you're going 35s, go for 4.0-4.25" back space. If you go 4.5 you'll be all over the frame

to many to list, check the build thread
hmmm, the 16" TRD baja edition wheels already have a 4.5" backspacing, and noah has a hybrid style front bumper with the cab mount chop already done, only thing i see you having to do is to chop those fenders. I could be completely wrong though, this is on top of moving up to a 17" wheel to fit the R/T's you got

    Check the build thread.
I have the All-Pro longtravel kit which extends the width by 2" per side and brings it forward as well getting the tires out of the fenderwell and giving the clearance needed to properly clear the 35's. I wouldn't do 35's without an LT kit. I have the cab mount chop, fenders trimmed 3" and "massaged" the inner fenderwell.

This is one of a kind, nice work buddy. Now I feel like after all the work I have done to my taco it still looks lame comparing to yours!

When you cut the wheel wells out did you have to do any cutting on the inside of the wheel well? There a clamped fin inside the wheel well. Just wondering since you cut so much off the fender.

I know I am pretty late to this build, but I just wanted to let you know this is the best build I have seen. My new favorite truck right here.

DUDE! Sick build, I'm glad somebody else feels ok about cutting up their new 2012 tacoma. My truck is similar, all pro lt up front and a DMZ spring under in the back with king bypasses, I'm still on 33's. Quick question, I modded my stock intake because I was scared of sucking up water... Have you been running yours without the inner fenders no problem? I'm just wondering if I should get some matting from home depot to make up for my lack of inner fenders... Sick build and thanks!

Some close up shots of the ARB CKMTA12 mounting with help from my go-to installer, Justin from All-Pro.

Very simple and straight forward but with all the added accessories this ends up being the perfect fit and best possible solution for easy access and virtually theft proof (where there is a will there is always a way though I guess).

Removed factory box, thick aluminum mounting plate in factory location, compressor attached to plate and bingo bango.

I have been worried about it and put a "make-shift" filter on the exposed end when I knew I would be in constant wet weather. No inner fenders for me. I am also just waiting on a snorkel - I just need to bump it up on my priority list.

Thank you both so much for taking the time to throw some thumbs up my way!

    You and me both!
