Picking up the last word and the sparrow upgrade tonight. Had 200 vanguard marks just sitting around so bought the rare sparrow couple days ago. Should be fun with the upgrade.

Get The Last of Us Remastered

 

I got a preorder of GTA5 on the way too , I also enjoyed Shadow of Mordor

 

You don't have to do the crucible. It's not about playing against each other if you don't want too. Do some strikes and level up and do the raid. This game is all about the loot plain and simple. Making your character your own. Level 20 is where the game starts. If you went into the crucible at level 20 for the first time then expect to get your ass handed to you. You will until you learn the maps and go in with a team you can play with. I won't play the crucible unless I'm with friends and then it's only 3v3. The rewards aren't good enough for doing the crucible.

This game is all about making your character better. If you're not into to doing that then you won't like it. We get on every night an help each other out with whatever someone needs. You are almost always going to get something you didn't expect.

Today was a good day for me with 3 exotics landing in my lap not counting the legendaries I also got. Play PVE and see how you like it. When you are playing WITH people it is a lot of fun.

 

Im gonna be a dick but wtf did you expect? To pick up the game and just be amazing in pvp? Pvp is a lot of work and is a skill set in its own. I played halo back in the day and even went to tournaments so pvp isnt anything new to me and i still can be handed my ass ocassionally. But thats not to say i cant hand out ass whoopings on my own, and ive always played solo.

it is about loot, totally rpg/mmo style. Dont like it then its not the game for you. But making your character your own is more like everyone else.

Do your dailies / weeklies / and nightfall if you can find a group of friends for the last one. Strikes is where you will rank up your vanguard rep and marks. You can only carry 100 marks per week but you can buy all your legendary armor with them. Xur shows up in the tower on Friday morning and sells exotic armor and one weapon each week. You buy those with strange coins and motes of light. You can get your character to 29 1/2 without doing the raid.

I got a exotic hand cannon as a random drop after a strike this morning and I love the idea of leveling different characters to fit a specific play style. Remember..... it's all about the loot and making your character your own to fit your play style.

If you're on ps4 I'll be more than happy to help you. We have a lot of fun just fucking around in the game. If you bought it for xbox.... you bought the wrong system

Got the last word and sparrow upgrade. Both are meh right now. Finished pocket infinity bounty so add that to the list. Also got hunters raid gloves up finally so he's 29. Just need raid boots for 30. Warlock is still hanging out at 28, I have his exotic chest piece and didn't know until recently the only way to get his raid helmet is to do it on hard, so that sucks balls. Most people want all 30's for hard. So now I either get lucky and try to get backpacked enough at 29 to get the helmet or wait to get the exotic helmet, max it out, then get the raid chest, and max it out. Dammit. New iron banner is only gloves and boots too. The grinddddd

 

TLW is mediocre until you hit the stability upgrades, then it's fucking amazing

took forever to get there though....

same with the pocket infinity. I've been trying to upgrade it to get the stability and auto-fire perk but otherwise it's a shitty fusion rifle

 

I think the loot part is what drives me in the game. That and the people I play with. I'm used to the grind with other MMO's out there so that is no big deal to me. Usually I'm content helping others get their gear or grinding out bounties. I almost always come away with something useful.

Got TLW and then immediately got Hawkmoon. I've only played one game with TLW so I can't speak on how good it is. Hawkmoon hits like a fucking truck but the recoil is hell right now until I get the perk which should happen today. Got the exotic Warlock helm and chest so on to my 2nd warlock.
