I'm rethinking this. Those Tuffy boxes are awfully expensive, so I noticed that Lowes sells security screws. I may yet get arsenj0365's doors and replace the torx screws with security screws like this:

If someone's going to go through the trouble of staking out your truck's rear storage compartment, they'd probably see that it's a tamper resistant torx screw and bring the correct bit. My lowe's toolkit came with a whole set of them.
I think you're over-worrying about someone taking the whole box.

Top ones came out easily. Bottom ones not so much. They were corroded from salted roads driving.

Man I feel bad this guy is making a product and everybody is talking about how "easy" it is to steal out of the box anyway. Its a deterrent, nothing more, just like a security system. If somebody wants in anything bad enough, they are coming in.

OP nice product, props for you on making something for the community.

Probably easier to get into the cab via rear window even...

Thank you for the positive comment. This is exactly my thought process. It's simply a deterrent. If theif wants to get in to something, they're going to. I bet I could get into a Tuffy box with a screw driver just as easily.

I forgot to upload pics today. I got called in to work. Went in in the dark, left in the dark. I'll try tomorrow in hopes I don't get called in.

I will consider selling with tamper proof stainless steel screws, let me figure out which ones I need and I'll let everyone know. I was going to make a door to cover the screws but with the hinge style and larger door, it wasn't much cheaper than the Tuffy Box.

I'll supply these with each door. They're stainless steel, one way, tamper resistant screws. No additional cost. Just remove the current oem screws and put these back in place. Problem solved.

Finally had a minute to take a picture and upload it. Here it shows how it latches as well as the gasket. Again, I will provide security screws with each door at no additional cost.

Any reason the picture in the first post was removed?

And, are these doors available right now?

That's odd, I'm not sure what happened. I'll have to look into it.

The doors will be in stock in 2 weeks. Someone asked for a pic of the latches so this is what I did. Everything's on order from my vendor now.

I'm totally with TunerNewb and the OP.

Really sucks to see this kind of chatter on a market-place post.

Not to mention seeing chatter posts by a guy who sells a lot of his own products in marketplace.

Every product isn't for Every Body. If you're not interested in buying it, you either move on or if you have a question or would like to get something off your chest you PM the OP.

    Effing aholes.

I have locks on my stock doors and they work well (from another TW member here). These doors look great, metal with the gasket.

Obviously if someone was determined or wanted it bad enough it wouldn't be too hard to break in and steal something. I locked mine as mainly a deterrent for those opportunistic thieves.

Yup, I've seen the DIY write up.

I liked what I did a little more just for the fact that you can't take them off without a key, and they seal so they're water resistant.
