I am looking at cost effective lifts, i am wondering if i just do a 2.5 inch lift in the front and get some spacers if that will clear some 33's. I dont mind a little rubbing right now. I can always trim my fenders if i need too. My biggest question i guess is what all would i need to do to accomplish this.

2.5" in the front is hit or miss with being able to get the correct alignment on factory UCAs. Adjustable UCAs are around $600 depending on the brand.

Really depends on what your plans are for the truck. There are some great lifts for off roading, but they're expensive. The bilstein 5100's are easy to install and aren't that expensive.

I have the 5100's. They have lift increments of 0, .85, 1.75, and 2.5 inches. Mine is set at 1.75", so as to avoid getting new UCAs. My last tacoma was set at 2.5" and I couldn't get the correct alignment.

The rear I just have a 1" block. I plan on taking that out and replacing it with a better quality leaf pack.

where did you get the 5100's at? I like the way your Taco looks, not anything too crazy. What size tires are you running?

Thanks. I got the 5100's from down south motorsports on the internet. The tires are 265/75-16. Just one size over on sidewall heighth over stock.

I love my tacoma. Lol. I had a 2011 off road access cab 6 speed. I needed more interior room and I wasn't willing to give up the long bed so I went with the sport dclb auto. The only thing I really don't like is the tires I put on. These goodyear duratracs have been horrible.

I got my bilsteins there too, 5100's up front set at 1.75 and Icon aal in the back with bilstein 5125 shocks. Rear shocks are super easy but fronts you'll need a spring compressor, I had a shop do it for me.

Not sure if you can fit 33's though if you set them at 1.75. Maybe if you stick with stock wheels

There really easy to put on. Here is a video tutorial. It says not to attempt, but it really is safe and easy. I've done this on 2 different tacomas. I like the nittos. I'm sure they're better quality then mine.

My tires are goodyears. They're terrible on wet roads and they won't balance.

    I fixed that link.

^^ wait until black friday/cyber monday, some places might do deals.

I waited until Discount Tire Direct (on ebay) had their "Spend $400, get $100 off" deal and purchased two pairs of BFG's for $450 a pair ($350 shipped after deal). So for $700 I got four BFG Mud terrains.
