Who uses the truck for trail rides and so forth and what set up are you running stock or lifted and wheel and tire combo.

My truck is a street queen. I guess I'm the guy you'd make fun of. 100% stock. I bought a truck for hauling and towing and having 4x4 for snow storms.

Being married with two kids I don't have the disposal able income left for repairing a truck after beating it through the woods. Been there done that 15 years ago.

My wife would shoot me if the taco came home covered in.mud and trail dings.

Not many people wheel on this site like they claim they do. Mostly posers and street queens.

I take my truck down trails and explore with it but I don't do any extreme wheeling. It's a daily driver that I need to keep reliable. Plus, I'm only 18. Just having it costs a lot of money, let alone the cost to keep fixing it all the time lol

Logging roads, closed dirt roads (still work as shortcuts as long as you have something with decent clearance), and the occasional CCC trail to access a mountain top are about the most I do.

Truck's too expensive to scratch and dent.

I have a non-locker pre runner and I take it on trails, I love it. But I also look at it as "I bought a truck, might as well take it off road and use it as one" I'm not too afraid to take it off road and scratch it up. I love it.

I have a 6" Pro Comp lift (DB lift) so like everyone says, I don't have any off road capability, so I just keep my truck in the garage.... :anonymous:

I took my truck off roading once, see my sig below. its a 4x4 and NOT a pre-runner. It got stuck many times. I'll never do it again. stick with a pre-runner if you want to go off-roading, nobody does that anyway.

I take mine trailing every now and then. It's my DD so I don't want to mess it up too bad. But I does the soul good to get off the pavement and get some dirt on your tires. 3fc5469016d7eafffe4b985f012c0100_e4566e54c32054bef756e5acda5fcee7765c5155.jpg

I tend to weekend it most anywhere I feel it will fit without breaking something, couple old logging sorting lots half dug up, abandoned + washed out trails up into the hills on occasion. Mostly for skeet shooting or exploratory purposes though, she's my DD but I bought her to be a truck so scratches and a few dings here and there are a part of the job description.

Don't mind the smart asses. There are lots of dudes who wheel every weekend that are on this site, and more importantly, near where you live. Check out the SE forum http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/south-east/ and see if there is a meet nearby, and if not make one. I've wheeled with people all over the world and in many states that are on TW, and made some good friends that are like minded. Sure, there are some web warriors too, but I've found even the toughest keyboard commando is just a normal dude when you meet them on the trail. :D

With the right winch I can take my Prerunner anywhere you can take your 4X4. It may take a little longer, but I've done it.
