    I used to be within an hour of Logan, but I'm about 3 hours away now. If he's fully built on 37's I don't know if I could get to him though....

    There was a gorgeous 4Runner at one of the first water crossings on Kane Creek; as we approached, saw a guy shaking water out of the speedometer housing. Not good.

    He'd been there for two days, had a buddy bringing him wiring diagrams.

    Just finished the truck (totally Slee'd out), charged into the water crossing and sunk off of a bar. Said the water was over the dash in a matter of seconds.

    Offered him help, but he said he was waiting on wiring diagrams to trace out the power to his injectors.

    Crappy.

    Curios as to how the hell he'd get the truck out of there if be doesn't get it running..

    Surprised it is that high as there has been little run off due to the cold weather. Although, I bet it is from recent rain storms.

    First trip out with it, too.. And he's from Colorado. Didn't see any overnight gear/HAM antenna/everything in the rig was soaked.

    Fuckin' sucks.

    My last night on Porcupine Rim it was about 20 degrees, imagine it's about the same down in the canyon right now.

    What's so hard about Hell's Gate? Got my buddy up it in about 2 minutes with no tire chirpage whatsoever..

    Hell's is actually a difficult trail for short wheelbase rigs like 4runners and Jeeps. For our long base Tacoma's it's super easy though. On the gate we almost flopped Rocky's 4runner and Joe's Lexis; everyone else just walked up it fine. On escalator we had to winch Rocky's 4runner out and Ben's 4runner (not sure how Joe did if he did it) and the rest of us just walked it. It gets tricky for those 2 dr jeeps as well, they like to wheelie over on that trail...

    We were both pretty stoked, collectively we saw about 4 rigs combined on all of those trails, it was like a ghost town.

    Did get a little jelly when a UTV just went blazing over a few obstacles that took us about an hour to get over..

    Just because.

    Amazing how much Moab's economy relies on tourism.. Don't think I'd want to go in the heat of the season, it'd really be shitty to have to wait behind 10 other rigs while running the trails.

    Think we went out to eat a total of 3 times during the week that we were there... The brewery, and Peace Tree Cafe. Both of them were kind of "meh..". But then again, we were living off of cold sandwiches and Mountain Houses..
