    That's what I think they may be using to save cost or unless they're using some kind of polmer/ composite setup which I doubt but you never know considering Ford and their way of thinking. I was kinda iffy about that oil cartridge filter but since they say it's mount on top and accessible. We'll see :rolleyes:

    It's quite possible to engineer a composite plastic oil pan that's resistant against road debris impact. It'll be interesting to see how it'll stand up to oil and cold temperatures after 7-8 years.
