New aluminum Pelfrey should be here Thursday. Not sure how the painting will go. Weather will be in the 40's-50's here for the next couple weeks...

I could, but my garage is not heated, so it doesn't make that big of a difference. We'll see how cold it really gets but hopefully it at least gets in the upper 40's.

Yeah, there's plenty of places you could get it from online, I just told you Rural King since that was where I got it from.

Aluminum 3 hoop with fog and LED bar cut outs. :)

This was one of their bumpers from their group buy that already had a LED bar cutout, so I didn't really choose that, but the cover for it looks fine so it's not a big deal.

    Thanks bud. I'm ordering today.

And won't it be nice to have the led bar cut out in case you ever decide to go with one there? :D :stirthepot:

If you ordered two cans, I would go easy for the first go-through since I didn't have that much extra when I went through so it's easy to go heavy on some parts and not have any left by the time you get to the back of the truck. I would do a light first coat to pace the cans out, then go back through so you know you have enough.

And yes, if I ever get a single row, it will be nice :)

You think three cans should be enough or should i go 4?

And have your cab mounts stopped squeaking yet? I think i'll mask mine off just to be safe :)

Three cans would be more than enough for one coat (which is all I did). I only used 1 and 3/4 cans to do one coat of suspension, frame, crossmembers, and rear axle. But, I can see how it would be easy to out-pace the cans if you sprayed heavy and used a full two cans for one coat.

If you got three cans, I would recommend doing one light coat of everything, then do a medium second coat. This would give you a nice base, plus give you a chance to get spots you might have missed on your first coat (as I did )

    I got three cans.

So far on my list for winterizing:

    1. Fluid film undercarriage
    2. Aquapel windsheild
    3. Wax the whole truck one last time
    4. Detail entire interior

Thank you for your help Matt

I should've done one last wax before the weather really hit, but now I suspect it will not get warm enough before winter starts. My last wash was 10/18, and my last wax was 7/29

I'm usually good about it, but just didn't do it this year. Oh well.

I will probably clean the interior soon though.

I'll keep you (and anyone else interested ) updated on my fluid film status...applied on 11/4/14 for my reference.

Thanx for the swing arm pics! Noticed you have 255s also, yet your spare is tilted.. When u get another chance can u measure from the top of the tailgate (closed) to the tire? And guesstimate the number it would be if the tire was vertical? I'm guessing an extra inch or two. This is what I'm working with

Yeah I'll try and get those soon, although I can tell you right now that I don't think there would be any way for the shell window to be opened if you have a tire on the swing out, regardless of size or tilt.
