Uuhh... not certain what event you are going to. I don't want to know about your "moan" event. It probably includes baby oil. :p

I'm guessing you have the grey wire mod? If you do and the wiring is good for the mod it eliminates the low range t-case switch so diagnostic is not needed.

You said you hear the actuator working? No locker? Or did you get the diff lock and the light was just flashing?

There are range switches in the locker motor that are common to fail due to corrosion. You can take it apart and clean them up, and do a general cleanup when you are in there of the motor comm and brushes. It is a bitch to get the brushes and comm back in. I usually need a 2nd set of hands to do it. If the range switches are going open when they are not supposed to it could cause an incomplete motor movement and no engaugement.

If you had a locked rear diff, look at the external switch as that is the final confirmation of diff lock.

Did you already rebuild this once? I was talking to someone about rebuild an actuator and I have no clue who it was.

I might have a motor you could throw in there to test if you like :spy:

yeah i rebuilt it 2 weeks ago or so. the brushes were terrible. full of corrosion. i cleaned everything and threw it back together with new lube. followed a write up on pirate. it worked great that day, hadnt touched it since, til yesterday. in the snow it was really hard to tell if it was actually locking or not. i can hear it moving what sounds like the full range of movement.... im gonna try and diag it tomorrow. im hopin the actuator is actually locking the diff but the position switch is bad... i may be texting u tomorrow.
