No. Her cauliflower ear exploded. I've seen it quite a few times.

Is this actually a good thing when done in a controlled manner?

Agree on the WTF. Plastics deteriorate at a predictable rate and a lot of plastics that are used in safety devices (carseats, hard hats, etc) will have an expiration date or manufacture date similar to the picture below. I have even seen these on some non-structural plastics like radiators and vehicle interior panels. I would hate to think that my oil pan was getting older and close to it's expiration date and caught a rock off of the road in the middle of nowhere and cracked. I don't even like radiators with plastic tops, bottoms or necks.

I have ZERO training in any of this and it was very evident at the end of the second round that this guy was hurting worse than he realized.

Yes when controlled they stick a needle in the ear and suck out the fluids (blood) and then compress it. The cause of cauliflower ear is simply the skin separating from the catilige and fluids filling the space. When not treated your ear looks like lumpy and bloated. You generally only get it with wrestling or mma.

Hope that helps I can tell you more if you want

Keep in mind this is Ford, who left the Ecoboost intercooler exposed through a big gaping hole in front bumper. One pebble and this can happen:

Of course, Ford doesn't cover road hazards under warranty.

In fairness my condenser ate a pebble and had a pin hole leak

An inter cooler is basically just a radiator right?

A front mounted inter cooler gives you instant 100+ hp. Turbo isnt even needed. The more exposed and visible behind the front bumper = more hp.

 atleast ford offset the license plate to allow for more airflow...

My dad has the ecoboost v6 f150 and hasn't had an issue with the intercooler yet... Just the transmission  65k on the clock
