Blast away all you loud exhaust lovers. NBD, I can take it. :luvya: I have put the loudest pipes on the planet on my Harley's and would do it again for many reasons including performance and that fact that loud pipes saves lives... zero debate.

BUT, my TRD Pro came with a TRD cat back and while the sound isn't even 100 miles close to Vance and Hines big shot duals or some Pythons its louder than I ever thought I'd need or want.

So.... question can quiet baffles or some other contraption reduce the TRD cat back noise?

Before you all go all loud-ass on me, I'm 50% deaf in one ear and cant hear the door bell, so quiet in the cab so I can hear some Rolling Stones is a priority - and THATS why I'm asking.

Other than swapping out the TRD exhaust are there any alternatives?

OP this probably your best bet. Lots of people on here would want a TRD exhaust and give you their stock. I actually had the TRD exhaust put on my 2014 at the dealership, but kept my stock one. Still trying to find it a good home. But somebody close to your region would probably trade.

Dealership didn't charge me... came stock on the truck from the factory (in TX i think?)

My original question was can it be quieted. Other than cut the tip off... any reasonable suggestions?

The throatiness of the TRD also comes from the muffler and piping. Just cutting the tip off won't make much of a difference.

I'm not interested in your opinion of Harleys or Pipes. If you have nothing to contribute to this thread stay the fuck out of it.
