It's like a nightmare where you can't wake yourself up.

Yeah, I had a friend who was driving behind me when we got to the scene so we've been keeping check of each other. Our families have been reaching out to us too.. It really does help.

Thanks, now I have to make a decision between the two... Seems like there is more interest in BVORR. Think I can keep it in one piece there?

Awesome, man that sounds like SO much fun! I probably would not drive all the way back the same day. That's a lot of driving, but I guess it just depends on how I feel at the end of the day. We have a deer lease in Hico, about 2 hours away from Dallas, so I would probably crash there and drive back Sunday. Only if I'm too tired though.

Edit: Don't know if I would actually do that. It's more out of the way than I thought. A 3 hour drive turns into a 4.5 hour drive with a detour through Hico

Sleet is coming down pretty good here. I'm in a rent car so I will have no issue getting on the slick roads tomorrow.

That's why I brought it up. I had planned on staying there when I thought I would make the Hidden Falls trip, but I didn't end up being able to go

Alot. The 300 Blackout is built off a 5.56/.223 Remington case and is designed to function in the AR platform while the .300 Savage has a larger base, longer case, and has a larger case volume.

Also; Hico is right down the road from me.

    I know there's a .300 Savage in our safe and there isn't a .300 blackout. Haha

No way! I'm down there allll the time. Where do you live? We have another lease in Mills county between Hamilton and goldthwaite (not sure how to spell that)

Ironic; there are two .300 Blackouts in my house and no .300 Savages.

Yeah; I grew up in Glen Rose and now live in Granbury. I still work in Glen Rose though. I travel the area on a pretty regular basis. (225k miles on my truck regular)

Wow! That's so cool. You'll have to keep an eye out for a 2011 Grey TRD OR Tundra double cab with Ranch Hands front and rear. That's what we usually take down there because its more comfy than the Taco, and it can hold a lot more obviously. My dad goes down a lot. I try to go down there around once a month when it isn't deer season

Also, I don't know if you guys saw, or if he posted in here somewhere, but Adam was involved in a pretty nasty roll-over. I saw it on Facebook. Very happy that everyone was okay.

Tundras and Tacomas are more common around here than people think. At the hospital there are four silver Tacomas and only around 100 people work there during the day.

Good luck on the hunt. Hopefully it is a successful one. Just remember that it's called hunting, not shooting. Don't get discouraged if you don't see something worth shooting on your first time out.

Also, I started reloading during one of our recent ammo shortages/scares. I then gained access to my late grandfather's firearms and found one that is a .44 special. The ammo was harder to find than the reloading dies. If you plan to shoot often, get a reload press. Or, worst case scenario, buy the bullets, powder, primers, brass and dies; and find someone with a press.

Where are you hunting? I drive through Junction on my way to the camp.
