Awesome! I'm sure you'll be very happy with it! Make sure you watch videos on using it and the configuration software. Also, make sure you really follow the instructions when calibrating all the switches for the first time. I didn't pay attention and spent a week troubleshooting what I thought were faulty knobs...

Make sure you check banggood.com for the 250 parts. They have a warehouse in Compton and offer free shipping. Be careful though, some parts like motors can only be shipped from the china warehouse.

Looking at the possibility of getting into these quadcopters, any good beginner copters?
I have flown a few RC planes and RC helicopters before, but don't have much experience.

    Any input?

You can't go wrong with a Hubsan X4. Comes with everything you need to fly right out of the box and only costs about $35. That's how I started and loved it. I still fly mine inside on rainy days.

I literally just got this monday. I think its pretty cool! Got a repair/spare parts kit as well. It records in 480p i believe. Pretty easy to use, i need to work on the turning in air but its a fun little toy.

Yeah there's a few different models available. The X4 ranges from about $35 up to $200 I think depending on the version. Definitely get the repair kit and a few spare batteries!

I have a spare battery but it doesn't fit in the battery cage. just seems like its too big. It got stuck and i had to take it apart to get it out.

I recently picked up a proto X, it was about $60, fits in the palm of my hand, and is great to fly indoors.

I originally got it to muck about with while waiting about for things at the rc car track. Turns out to be a fun distraction in general!

Edited to add: I gotta brand carried by my preferred hobby store in the inevitable case of breakage. Already have gone through a couple rotors. Being a fan of rc cars, I try to support local.

That probably the smoothest landing I have ever seen, well done! How does the IRIS+ perform? The 3DR stuff looks so nice.
