    We usually have 15+ family members for dinner. My cousin's youngest daughter will be home from Korea this year so it will be an added pleasure.

    We always have a ham and a turkey. Two types of dressing as well. When my dad was with us I would also do a second smoked turkey. He enjoyed smoked turkey a lot.

    I try not to cook huge amounts of food. My sister's three children are older now and there are more family members that take home leftovers. My goal is to only have the ham hock left over so I can make bean soup on the Sunday.

    My sister hosts Christmas dinner which is pretty huge as well. She usually features a Ziti dish along with a meat. We take shrimp cocktail as an appetizer. There is never any shrimp left over.

    I'm just used to having turkey at every thanksgiving and we all love it. I like the leftovers more than the dinner itself though....turkey sammiches for days and days!!! :drool:

    thats a pretty big crowd to feed. we used to have much larger dinners with gandparents and aunts/uncles/cousins but everyone's either passed away or grown up and has their own family/in-laws to deal with on the holiday.

    I will be heading upstate for the Thanksgiving weekend with the son and Grandaughter. Soooo Boston Market take out for Thanksgiving dinner. Not too bad.

    I get a smoked ham for Christmas dinner (16/17 lbs.) and have ham :sandwich: for a week after:drool:.
    We have a big crowd on Christmas eve. We have had up to 32 people(that includes kids) for dinner. Smoked ham, mashed potatoes, yams, corn, string bean casserole, pineapple soufflé, apple, cranberry, walnut pie, cookies, and cranberry wine:drool::drool:...

    :eek: Long Johns :confused::confused: it's 27* here and if it wasn't for the wind, it would be short sleeve shirt weather:) *I don't think so

    Damn it's colder in PA then in Alaska :eek:
