Yes, for a mirror, last time I checked that was a pretty small claim. Not going to take three paragraphs and hundreds of charactersto explain to you how wrong you are and how right I am so I can try to look smarter than you in front of everybody. And yes you are coming off as kind of a "dick" in your words. OUT

Actually, yeah you are a dick. Like I've said, I've had people behind me with brights on, that can cause people to lose sight for a few seconds. I don't know how freeways are in Ohio but rush hour on 91, people drive a little crazy and brake checking isn't rare.

Anyways, I got a call from the dealer and he told me that I'll have to get a lawyer. I didn't even mention suing anyone, I didn't mention lawyers, I just asked what the next step was. This is before the specialist has even looked at it yet. Then he told me that the lemon law wouldn't cover it. I reminded him that I don't want to use the lemon law, I just want what I paid for which is a mirror that works.

Dude, you need to find another dealer. Simple as that. If the mirror doesn't dim, it is defective. If you are within your warranty time frame and/or mileage, they owe you a mirror that works, simple as that. Don't back down.

theres a number on line and in the back of your warenty manual on who and where to call for problems, my Taco mirror just wont dim and Im tired of dealing wiht it, a new auto mirror is almost 800 bucks and my cost on a toyota flip mirror is 65, I think Ill cruise the salvageyards and find a second hard mirro and just get a flip mirror

Have you tried calling toyota corporate and starting a claim? Once toyota opens a claim and contacts a dealership they will have to look at your issue. Try to have a toyota corp send the info to a different dealership though.

Surprisingly, Walmart carries the exact same flip mirror supplied to Toyota Tacoma's, 10" Donnelly brand, for under $12.
