Another option is bedliner. If they get scratched/chipped you can touch up yourself.

Kevin, let me know when you get your sliders in and what you decide to do with painting them. I'm looking into the spray can bedliner route since it will give some traction and be easy to touch up if needed. Obviously this won't be for a while but I'm curious since we ordered ours on almost the same day. It's a process we'll be going through together!! lol

    Will do Sm,
I'm gonna go w the line-x as was recommended above. I'll bring it to a line-x retailer that's by me. There is a coating they can apply over the line-x to harden it, stop it from fading, and keep it easier to clean. Almost like a clear coat. My question will be if the surfaces that meet the chassis for mounting can be coated or if they will need to be masked off and painted w regular paint. Ten week lead time. Yikes

Got a quote from my local line-x guy, looking at $250 ~ $300 for the premium. Not too bad.

That's not a real bad price. My only issue is that the wife wants some rims for her car so that might come as a gift priority. If I can find someone willing to donate their garage to me for a couple weeks I'm probably gonna be teaching my self how to spray them with bed liner for the time being. Regardless of what happens, I'm excited to get them and put em on the truck.

If anyone else reading this is going the line-x route they told me they'd rather the product come to them bare steel than primed as their primer is optimal for the line-x.

Just 9 more weeks to wait smth lol

Still a great coating for that price. Now makes me wonder how I got such a good deal at $75. I took them in bare steel, right off the pallet. Maybe I caught him at an off time or he just felt overly generous.

So, to revive this old question thread here. Anyone have suggestions on a tonneau cover? I want one that doesn't sit up to high like a lot of the roll ups do. My budget is kinda low too soooo I'm basically looking for suggestions on what to save for. Anyone have experience with the Bestop EZ Fold cover?
