Probly a dumb question. Where's the best town to live in CO? I work for discount tire in Oregon and want to move to CO but I have no idea where to start looking, I've spent time in Denver but I don't wanna spend a fortune on rent. Where would be the best place for a fly fisherman and elk hunter to live?

 

Somewhere in the mountains.

I'm Originally from Portland (Sandy actually) but out here in Denver for the AF. and yeah... it's stupid expensive for what you get here.

 

Some where in the mountains is going to be tough while working for discount. Not bashing what he's doing but the mountains are expensive.

The good thing about colorado is that the state is not overly big so you can really live anywhere and still do all your hobbies. I have the same hobbies and have lived all of the front range Colorado Springs to ft collins, and up in the mountains bouncing from Dillon, to Breckinridge. It all depends on your budget, what you want to live in, apartment, condo, house, rent vs buy. The fishing is good all over the state as is the hunting.

 

I figured. But I wasn't sure if he was planning on still working for them or not.

I used to know the manager at the old Fort Collins discount pretty well, but they tore it down so don't know where he went or if he's even at the new one.

Just stay West of I25 at a minimum

 

Loveland is fairly inexpensive compared to most and has a lot to offer.
