Tearing apart the Tacoma is super easy. Doors take less than 3 minutes to get off.

Door panels. Door isn't very hard to get off either. putting it back on by yourself is a real pain.

    I know...I kid I kid. :p

I'll do it. I need to paint some white accents in the cab. Such boredom. Day after day I look at my truck and thing "meh" "whatever"....need something different. Then bored again.

And for the tweeter rings, some people clipped them back in with no problems, I on the otherhand clipped mine in and then every time I closed the door (not slam it or anything) the ring would start to fall off so I just glued mine back in

How much flex can you get on the whip with the LEDS added? I leave mine on all the time but I use a flexy spring and bend it towards the cab. The CB whip bends a bit and I'm thinking the LEDS might have issues with bending.

I was going to bend it and hook it under bed rail cleat but it's to rigid. definitely won't bend real far.

And you just wrapped it tight and hopped it stuck on right? Then sealed it with the shrink wrap

Started at the end that sits in my antenna mounts I put in the truck bed (made sure the lights weren't in the area that the antenna goes down into holders) stuck the led strip on antenna (taped the end down with electricians tape) then wrapped it (rolled the antenna as I held the led strip) and made sure it stuck decent then when I got the point of the antenna where the flag will go (save room for that) I cut it then taped it with white electricians tape.

Then put the shrink wrap over it like a Condom with half inch overlap past the led strip at each end and start heating it. Don't stay in one spot to long. The leds do separate a little in a couple areas because of the heat but the whips I made are still 100% working so it's no biggie.

Just for extra measure - after shrinking the tubing I wrapped white (on white antennas) electricians tape at both ends of the shrink wrap making it look nice and neat, and of course black electricians tape (on black antenna) just to seal up the shrink wrap tubing at both ends.

IF any of that makes sense.

Right on man. I plan on doing it Monday. I've got to go get red tape. I am planning on having mine go off of a switch mounted in the locked cubby in the bed then straight to the fuse block. Or can I tap into the trailer plug?

Harbor freight. A 6 pack (IIRC) of different colored elec. tape. Red is in the pack  It's where i got white.

Do the switch in the cubby. That's perfect!

I ran the wire from inside cubby, into rear empty space in rear fender well , down to frame, and threaded it thru the frame all the way to front fender well, up into engine compartment to battery. You have to look real close to see ANY wire. I'm anal so it's all tucked or hidden along the way.

I got the lights and heat shrink today. Things are bright red. All was good u til I took my whip out and forgot that its an 8' whip. So I'm gonna go pick up another CB antenna and wrap that. One because it will be shorter (3-4') and will be 1\2" compared to 1\4" since I bought 1" heat shrink.

All done. The whip itself took all of 10 minutes to wrap. So probably 15 total with the heat shrink. Longest part was the wiring. I love it and can't wait to see it at night. I don't know why these are roatated. Sorry.
