That's really up to you. Mine is just sitting there and nothing is holding it in. There are many options and it really depends how permanent you want the installation to be.

This plate is basically part of a more extensive DIY project so you can install switches in your truck in a clean way. How extensive depends on how permanent.

I liked the idea of this when I saw you originally post it. I thought it was made out of some type of abs plastic with the textured look it had, is it made from aluminum or steel? Also does it just sit in the cubby or is it a tighter fit almost like pushed in I guess you could say. Thanks

Thanks guys! I've update the list.

It's made out of 1/8" aluminum. How you mount it is really up to you. Mine is just sitting there and nothing is holding it in. There are many options and it really depends how permanent you want the installation to be.

This plate is basically part of a more extensive DIY project so you can install switches in your truck in a clean way. How extensive depends on how permanent.

I was going to buy an extra overhead console and make a switch holder there. But this seems pretty slick as well...

Hmmmmm, add me on the list, $30 with the handles. When do you think you'll be closing this?
