Is this lift high enough to keep fat chicks from climbing in without steps?

Really like the stance and look of your truck! Got a few questions to ask. Did you stay with factory UCA's and LCA's? Did you have to add any shims to your drive line? Diff. Drop kit? Extend brake lines? And if I might ask what do you have in the lift, flip kit, and etc. I have a 2015 DCSB Sport that I would really like to lift but I'm very hesitant because of all the stories about vibes. Also I done some searching around and can't find anyone selling these lifts. Someone said Wheelers but they didn't list them online. Thanks for any info you can give me.

I purchased mine from Wheelers Offroad and received it in 4 or 5 days. Great price at the time and outstanding customer service. Also bought UCAs from them at the same time I bought the lift.

I have read that with this type of lift you don't need to change the UCA's? Did you do the install yourself? About how long did it take? Are you completely satisfied with it. No vibes? Drive line stock? I will look Wheelers up again but I didn't see them listed. Thank's

You don't need uca with this lift but I got them to get a little more caster for clearance purposes. I took the lift and all to a shop and they install it in 3 days. I've had it on my truck for 2 or 3 weeks and would recommend it to anyone!! I do have stock driveline but I have minor vibrations only before coming to a complete stop or starting to accelerate. Its nothing real bad but you know its there.

UCAs add caster by moving the top of the steering knuckle closer to the rear of the vehicle. This actually reduces tire clearance.

The reason I put them on is to add caster for better handling. Low caster tends to have twitchy steering and causes the truck to wander. This problem is exaggerated with large, heavy tires/wheels.

Oh I see, I figured adding more caster moved the tire forward away from the cab mounts. Apparently not, sad thing is the people that aligned it for me even agreed with me... Ridiculous :smack:

Adding caster using factory adjustment bolts adds clearance. Adding caster with UCA reduces clearance.

The question I have is did you use UCA's with the Heim joint? The Total Chaos website say's to use them for 6" and higher lifts. I'm new to alignment and I may want to do this afterI catch up.

No. I used standard Total Chaos UCAs on my previous truck and have Light Racing UCAs on my current truck.
