I think Cole just had an extremely bad day, and the North Avenue Trade School field wasn't helping things. Probably didn't take any snaps all week.

btw I HATE FSU. But how can you rank an undefeated defending champion behind a team that lost to a team outside of the top 10?

 

In a nutshell, said team beat the #1 team. FSU has beaten how many top 10 teams? How many terrible teams have they nearly lost to?

They won the title last year. That shouldn't really have much bearing on the current season. Unless they were just pants-raping everyone they play this season they're ranked fairly.

 

Personally don't think MSU should have been ranked first. Their three quality wins are against teams that have a combined 11 losses. Not saying FSU should be ranked first, but behind 2 one loss teams that don't necessarily have a stunning resume either is surprising.

Those teams were all ranked and didn't have a combined 11 losses when state was #1.

If FSU wasn't ranked #1 at the start they'd probably be even lower than they are now because they sure as shit aren't playing like a #1 team.

For the record, FSU's close wins at home against ND and Clemson don't look so hot right now.

 

This is the problem. The fact that LSU, A&M, and Auburn are still considered good wins. Oh and Jeff Long even included Arky in that bunch which would put the loss total to 16.

The only one of those teams that can be considered a good win is Auburn and even that's pushing it at this point.


I don't think FSU should be 1 either but I think jumping a team from out of the playoff to the best team in the country based on 1 win is ridiculous.

 

And where are FSU's quality wins? They're barely beating cupcakes.

Not saying Clemson and Louisville are the most amazing wins but they're still in the top 25.

If the playoff didn't exist and it was still the top 2 teams play for a championship, FSU would miss out to 2 teams that have loses when they are an undefeated power 5 school.

Every team in the Top Ten failed to 'finish' their game at least one time, but not Florida State . One thing they have done is 'finish' the game.They have 'finished' 10 straight times this season and the last 26 games in a row.

FSU isn't dominant and doesn't pass the eyeball test for anyone except those who wear garnet glasses.
