    I get a kick out of reading each camp and their opinions. Each has their own arsenal of videos, statistics and opinions.
    I personally loved the TRD CAI in my 2011. The tingling in my nutsack from the sound alone was better than a midget lapdance.
    I am not going to get in a perpetual debate on another CAI thread but, remember we are Men with testosterone coursing through our yamsack's. The last thing we need to be doing is judging or giving 1/2 a fuck what someone wants to do to feed the need.

    Add a stock TRD s/c. Went from ~200 whp to ~260.. Adds intake. Gets ~270whp. Adds headers, y-pipe and 2.85" pulley, gets 308 to 320whp, depending on elevation. Not going to get there without the intake. Highest N/A #' I know of personally are from Lucario Runner. Nearly 260whp and 300wtq. AFe intake, Spec-U headers, URD Y-pipe, APR X-1. His makes as much as just swapping on a TRD intake. Hahaha.

    I dare any one here to race, "off road" (of course) two of the same types of trucks, with the only difference being the intake. If you don't want to race (off road of course) then find a nice secluded flat area to do a 40-90 acceleration video. Better both have the same octane of gasoline, and not have a 200 lbs difference between drivers. Lol

    TRD claims a small HP increase under Toyota testing standard's. I do not remember the number but it was far less than 17.

    I don't believe the hype either. I do testing. That is why I have paid for many other people's as well as my own, to show differences. If any. Doesn't matter what the product is for me. That way I can share my own results. Hopefully they will be inline with other people's.

    I saw that video years ago and most agree it's such a flawed testing. Using a stock piping with all it's baffles and narrow piping and then stick a filter over and calls it a CAI :rolleyes: Didn't even use a actual name brand CAI to test against....wow.

    If a person can physically feel a difference of .003", a low tire, an increase in power after changing a clogged fuel filter, or any other miniscule change from what is the "norm", then a change in 5 hp would be felt. Our nervous systems are accute enough for for such a change.

    CAI's are fun. loud. as far as being much faster/more efficient, i have no idea. but they sound good. worth a couple hundred bucks for the sound IMO if that's what you're into

    :laugh: I remember losing to a late model Camaro V6 with two cute blondes vs my 95 civic ex 5spd. Couldn't believe the shame when they waited for me at the next red light and the passenger said "So what took you so long?" After that I promise myself to never go against any car unless it was a Prius or moped :D

    Well I have the Volant Cold air with the front intake also. I think a pants feel it has more power. It sounds really good when you floor board it. And with the 24" Magnaflow muffler on it... Well you can hear me coming and going. As far as better fuel mileage. I was actually able to stay out of the pedal, I might actually know.

    So for what it cost, looks wise and sound wise, it is well worth it. But that is coming from a ASE Master Technician since 1975, I really like a nice looking engine compartment, and good sounding vehicle.

    As you can see from the Scion iQ I use to own and the 68 Mustang I still own
