Anyone installed generic eBay UCA

Looked at the site and (+ several others ) they all hot link back to eBay - FUCKERS ! ! !

No one can spot quality just by looking at them, especially for a suspension component.

 

Maybe for unbranded stuff like this, but there's plenty of great suspension stuff on ebay ... but most of it is the same price you would pay from any other online retailer.

 

Weld inspection is part of my job, and even in their auction pictures, those welds do not look good.

Certainly they picked their best looking ones for the catalog pics. What do the other ones look like?

Just came across some second hand 5100's and a new set of 886x. I may try this uca as well. Not sure when I will install, so it could be a little while. Will post as soon as I do.

Well I just did some Internet fishing. ..I don't know much about this kind of stuff but visual comparison of these two different products no name and TC look very similar to me ?? Seems like lots of titan guys are using these. That's were this pic came from.

Ya they are similar wonder how the bushings and welds are.

 

I would wait save up the extra $250 cash and buy the TC. No-name engineering, material selection and specifications, quality control....all holding your front wheel in place....not for me.

No way to tell how good that uni-ball is either...could start squeaking or wear out or rust in no time because it is a Chinese knock-off.

If they are able to produce a quality product...then why not just put their name on it and make it a legitimate product?

Good luck collecting from this no-name company if there is an accident resulting from a UCA failure and somebody gets hurt.

 

This conversation must continue. Interested to see the outcome of this and to continue listening to the trash talking and bashing about them. Not that I think they are a quality product either.

 

I wouldn't write it off that quickly. I mean the person welding the knockoffs probably has to work fast but makes 20 a day so you have to gain xp fast.

The american made versions are probably made by the shop bitch, BC no one wants to work on Tacoma replacement parts when there is a race truck sitting next door. This person just started welding a year ago, is also trying to get them done quick, and probably got fucked up on his lunch break.

I like to support the designers of a product but everyone copies UCAs.
