I honestly find it easier to turn a dial. I care not about a digital display when I'm in a tactical location being tactical tactically.

what tF what dose it take to gert auto airin a tacoma
Factory Engenders think that we like to fuck with knobs and are not going to appeal about climate con-troll. it is not hard to do but every other Toyota has it. there has to be a mod that will fix this and bring my family into the 21st century. this is where Toyota could make a difference but it does not seem to matter to them..
I have livid out of these Trucks in Africa and Afghanistan and have been blown up in one. (I suffer greatly) I will never own anything other than a Toyota. What I need is some Americans that can tell me how to make this happen!

At the end of the day- tacomas are pickup trucks, not luxury cars.

i like power windows too. power doorlocks. I use a gps but I use a map at the same time because i am not stupid. I like comfort. it is what separates us who play and play for a living. I am done suffering and only want the best. Oh i forgot to mention that its not good enough to have the best mods and trickiest ride if you cant use it. the military has spent millions on me teaching me how to drive a toyota, huluxx, land rover, land cruser, Hummv Mrap tank and a few others. stick to the basics and common sence and you will be a hero.

Deaver 6 stack Leaf Springs 3/4 ton Bilstean adjustible shocks 3.0 Liter turbo diesel from Toyota Hilux in japan
The 2013 and newer toyota Hilux Crew Cab Pickup D4D Turbo Diesel in brasil has a small monitor built into the dash where the radio typically is, this touch screen digital controls everything, radio, AC, Heat, Fan, 4X4, built in GPS etc etc etc. Reality is I prefer analog set up as if these digital touch screen computers fail after warranty you are looking at alot of $$$ too repair / replace

Question is why does the rest of the world get the nice stuff and in the USA we get the same old Tacoma with no real updates since 2005??? And were is the D4D diesel version Tacoma / Hilux in the USA???

I haven't seen it listed here yet, but there is a new TSB relating to the rear suspension for '05-'11 Tacomas.

    http://www.tacomahq.com/4563/toyota-recalls-2005-2011-tacoma-leaf-spring/

How did I find out? I just bought my '06 and the dealership will not let me take possession until it gets fixed (legal issues due to safety). That's fine and dandy, but unfortunately, Toyota still doesn't have a solution for the TSB.

Any ideas on how I can take possession of the truck so I can take care of the TSB when there is a solution?

    Yeah.
Strange that they won't let you take possession since it is technically not a recall. I think they have a fix, they just don't have enough parts to go around.

its being changed to a recall.... but the recall does not include the shocks on all four corners as the tsb does..... so id rather have them do the tsb but i doubt they willl since the recall is already in motion.

My buddy at Toyota told me i'm on the list for this also.

We will get 1st notice in mail soon talking about the issue.

When they get a huge stock pile of springs in, they will send out a 2nd notice to come in and get new spring packs put on.

Until they are built and the warehouse if full we have to wait impatiently.

Why they won't release the vehicle to you is complete bullshit.

Thanks for the info. I had a feeling it was going that route.

I told the dealership I would sign a waiver stating I know about the issue and I am releasing them of liability. We'll see what happens, but it wasn't sounding good.

And what would be even more irritating is that I could have taken possession this weekend if that is all it takes. I even mentioned it at the time of purchase. But they also said I would have my truck no later than today.
