I tried searching because I figured someone would have posted this here already but I didn't find anything.

Nearly brand-spankin-new 1999 Toyota Tacoma xtracab on eBay. Crazy.

    -------
You are looking at a Extremely Rare Find. This 1999 Toyota Tacoma Extra Cab SR5 has 800 Original Miles. This is the real mileage on this truck. It is a One Owner truck that has been very lightly driven. It's absolutely amazing to find something like this. The truck was traded to a local Toyota Dealer by the original owner. The truck is fully documented with the Carfax and Some Service Records. It's a real rare find with such low mileage. This truck runs and looks beautiful. This is a Florida vehicle with a Clean Carfax, Clean Autocheck, and Clean Florida Title. No stories here. This is a 4 Cylinder 5 Speed Manual 1999 Tacoma Extra Cab SR5 with 800 Miles. Take a look at the pictures and you will how nice this truck really is. It's practically brand new. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns. We are happy to help at any time. yes but as mentioned, if its real, the thing sat so long that everything is dried out and rusted so it needs an engine and maybe tranny rebuild and all rubber parts are shot and full brakes and everything involved with that all the way around and obviously a full set of tires including spare.

don't get me wrong its a great deal but you need to drop a few thousand into before you go driving it on the road or things will start falling apart and seizing up.

I think its either a scam or misprint, im sure it happens sometimes (death in the family) but no way I can believe this thing was parked in a storage container while still new and forgotten for 15 years. and then in florida of all places with all the rust and hurricanes and such?

If it was stored indoors, I would buy it. Probably nothing wrong except some dried out rubber. I'm sure you can replace every rubber part for less than the $9k saved off retail here. This truck was probably $20k new. I paid $16k for a new regular cab 5 speed 2.7 in 2000 without the SR5 package, and I got a pretty good deal.

Picture of the sticker said just over $16k. Still not impressed though it needs a lot of work to be running well after sitting for that long as mentioned before. plus its purple... And a lot of marks on the roof unless thats dust.

well the rings and cylinder walls will be very rusty as well as the rod bearings and crank bearings that weren't under the oil level, the crankshaft and lifters will all be rusty and trashed, but its just a matter or replacing everything and the core is still a new truck. hell replacing all moving and rubber parts including buying a crate engine to be installed and have a shop do it all for you is still going to cost less then the $9k you mentioned.

people don't realize just how much goes bad when you don't run and engine regularly to keep things free and coated in oil
