I think it's a smart move by GM to introduce a more aggressive colorado. The Current z71 is nowhere near as capable of an offroader as a TRD OR

X2. Toyota had this thing in 2008. Six years later we got a watered-down version...

as for those two more photo shopped pics…chevy just excited a bunch of its fans. They're gonna expect it to be like the raptor I'm sure, but that has its issues too.
The pic with the General tires makes it look like it has irs.

EDIT: This is already the watered down version. :D Actual truck has mid-travel King RR coilovers. Maybe the thing will finally have as much front suspension travel as a stock Taco...

It's just a concept. Common chevy didn't even put the reaper into full production, they turned it into a kit no one buys. I'd be surprised if we see a ZR-2, and if we do I'd expect it to be an extremely watered down version. No way Chevy would take the risk and throw a 3" lift, winch, and significant body modifications on a truck with the way there management has been trending.

I doubt Toyota has had as many recalls as GM has. And besides that, this is a Toyota forum and someone posts a thread about Chevys there is bound to be some negative responses. I've been around my fair share of Chevy trucks, I grew up with them and after all those years, I will NEVER own a Chevy truck, now Chevy cars are different, I like and would own several different Chevy cars but not their trucks.

When I was a kid, Dad bought a new 2003 Silverado for his business, horrible truck. The interior started falling apart within a year, it was tremendously underpowered for a V8, got 12mpg and it was supposed to get 20. He later traded it in on a 09 Duramax and never looked back. My little V6 Tacoma would eat that thing in a drag race I bet. My Tacoma is 10 years old and the interior still looks like new inside.
Before the 03 Silverado he had an 01 Silverado and it was an electrical nightmare. One day we were headed out of town on a hot day and something snapped and the heater came on full blast and would not turn off no matter what Dad tried, he took it to the dealer and they couldn't figure it out so he traded it in on the 03.

I saw one of these new trucks the other day. I'd rather stare at my asshole in a mirror than look at that truck again.

I missed the reveal but the ZR-2 looks really good. I love the built in winch.

It's probably going to be expensive, but it looks well worth it.
