I guess I didn't realize they were counting wins from last season as well...FSU is 26-0....hmpf. I think a "stop living in the past" would be said by an ACC fan...if a Bama fan used this logic.

As an FSU fan, I'm tired of hearing from most FSU fans.

I like you. The rest of this isn't directed at you.

Really...the poll doesn't matter. You're in the top 4. Shut. The. Hell. Up.

"If the playoff didn't exist they'd have 2 1 loss teams ahead of an undefeated FSU". No they wouldn't. The AP and coaches polls have FSU 1. AND...there's the fact that the playoffs DO exist, so that argument doesn't matter, either. Stop looking for shit to cry about. Hope your team wins their remaining Games. Win, and you're in (unless you're possibly Miss St...I think they'll be jumped if OSU wins their conf championship). Wah the media doesn't like us. Wah the voters don't like us. Wah the rest of the nation doesn't like us. FSU fans bitch and moan more than anyone I've ever met, and their team is undefeated and reigning national champs. Shut the fuck up with the bitching already. Damn.

    End rant.

My friend was trying to tell me about that poll last night(and crying about it) "Guess what number we are" My response: "I don't give a shit" As long as we make the playoffs I'll be fine.

Not trying to stir shit (yet), but was PJ Williams ever suspended for his hit and run while driving on a suspended license?

Exactly. You get it. If you're in the top 4 it doesn't matter if you're #1 or #4.

I'm less concerned with FSU making the playoff as the future of college football with the current trends this committee is setting.

Nobody has been able to explain to me how a team jumps from out of the playoff to number 1 in the playoff besides the mystical "eye test".

I personally don't think Alabama should have been pushed to #1. I do however feel they should be in the top 4. I don't really care where, per se, in the top 4. I actually DONT want to be ranked #1....as Alabama historically doesn't do well with that ranking until after the NCG. (lulz)

I can only hope the ranking is hidden from the players, and they are only told at the last minute that they made it to the playoff.

As for the whining and crying, well, STAHP IT. The media, and voters don't necessarily like you because you haven't won the games in a dominating fashion...welcome to the top. Bama has been dealing with it for a while now. Once you dominate, in the voters mind, you have to continue to do so basically until your program falls apart. Then, a few years later, once your new head coach starts to turn things around, the voters and media will be all over your nuts. (Sound like last year FSU?) Last year, FSU deserved the hype, and proved it with a Natty....This year, the wins aren't so decisive. (Sound like the hate Bama gets?)

In closing, none of our arguments will ever matter. The fans have no say in the playoff selections. 12 people (stated as "successful", whatever that means...) will pick the teams. Hypothetically, we could get to the final 4 teams and they could throw Ohio State in and decide to leave Bama out. All of this based on "who they like" or more accurately, what will get better ratings and make the NCAA the most money.

It doesn't even matter right now BUT....

    BAMA beat #1
    Oregon didn't play
    FSU looked weird against Miami.

They weren't gonna bump Oregon to 1 on a bye week.
FSU would have jumped them had they killed Miami but they looked bad for a lot of the game.
BAMA at the top is just a product of the above 2 combined with taking out the #1 team in a decisive manner. If they won from behind they probably wouldn't be 1 but they owned that cowbell ass from kickoff.

Either way all 4 are basically equal aside from picking the field.

By not having to scramble to come back...yes. They were ahead the entire game. I know that's an alien concept to you. It is also pretty impressive to corral a heisman contender and render him ineffective for a majority of the game.

You beat #36 or whatever they are by 4 points after damn near losing the game...

The committee uses game control as a metric.

If y'all wouldn't have made Miami look like a top 5 team we wouldn't be having this conversation.

The AP poll jumped Miss St. who was on a bye week over us earlier this season...

Y'all sure did "control" that game vs. Ole Miss…

Last I checked the AP poll and the CFP are different...

Ole Miss was WEEKS ago. Shit changes.

I'm gonna pull the ol Texas card here...but we lost our center that game AND a major offensive player's leg exploded right in the middle of the line so yeah the O got rattled. Yeah we lost in the end but the team got shaken up and played pretty differently after that.
