Why would I look at reviews when I'm running them and this is my experience with Goodyear tires. Have had BFG's, long time ago, but they sucked in Colorado winter and mountain driving. If I where racing w no sponsorship, then I would be happy on any tire.

Exactly. MPG difference is due to the rubber compound make up and tread pattern.

And running the correct tire pressure, the same PSI in all four tires.

Why the staggered psi? Should be the 29 in all 4.

I think the door stick recommends something like that. Maybe to account for the increased weight up front.

I have my KO2's at 35psi all around. Meaning to do a chalk test to see how it rolls.

D and E yes pretty close but I think the OP was hinting more along the lines as both D & E are too much tire for a mid size and hurt mpg's fairly significantly. Say you drop 2 mpg that is around 10% of your mileage give or take. For a non offroading DD that is huge, for a trail rig on 35's who gives a hoot...

That is only part of it, weight is the other huge factor. Going to an E adds significant weight which can really hinder mpg. Going from a C to an E adds 8 lbs per tire and rotational mass hurts acceleration, mpgs, wheel bearings and other stuff. E tires are really designed for heavy towing and hauling in the 5 figure area, but they are loved by off roaders who want the sidewall stiffness.

If they are E range they really should be much higher than that...

If I remember the post right from a while back the Pro's have the E rated tires and the factory door sticker is for 41 or 42 psi, not the sub 30psi listed for P rated tires. To get the BFG's up to factory specs you need to use the higher psi. At the 29-30 psi they have less load capacity than a P rated at the same pressure.

So how are you liking the KO2s over the original KOs?

IMHO, they are better - traction wise and road noise. They are worry free...

Sounds like there's a bunch of scientists on this thread talking about compounds and shit. Next thing is going to be the gravitational pull is more on the west coast so worse mileage. Get some triactin it's just a tire. nice ones btw

I think the rotation of the earth has more effect on mileage than gravity. So going west to east you should get some assist from the earths rotation. That's why they launch rockets from pads near the equator going west to east.

I'm still up in the air between KO2's and Cooper AT3's.
