Getting a supercharger. Let you know more when it's done. Under $6000.

Sorry it took so long to post, I work many hours to pay for stuff like this:p

We have 4 dealerships in the Vegas area. SC w/ fit kit cost after tax was $6000ish down to $4860. Labor was from $900 to $1680. LOL, the rich folks dealership in Summerlin wanted 14 hours at $120 an hour.

I went with Findlay Toyota, total out the door was $5897, 10 hrs at $100 an hour including shop supplies and 3 gallons of coolant. And a free rental.

Dropped it off at 2 PM on Tuesday, picked it up at 3:30 PM Thursday. Proper clamps, clean wiring harness install etc.

I haven't dropped the hammer yet like dragstrip racing, but have got on it pretty hard. With traction control off I can easily get the tires loose as a goose. Merging on the freeway is a breeze now. Lots more power.

When you start it and at idle it has a very slight bit of, let's say a different noise. No gear clatter etc. When driving it sedately on residental 35 mph streets it sounds just the same and just like it was before. Above 2000 rpm you can hear the SC just a bit. When you're at 4000 rpm you know somethings different for sure.

Okay, pics. Last pic was my last daily driver, .00001 ms before it blew up.

Bump, for new folks. I'm happy as hell, my boss needs to get rid of his full sized pickup, needs no such thing, Don't fit in the garage. He has a massive 2006 GTO 6.0 with a full S/C with 550 hp at the rear built at Shelby in Las Vegas. He's thinking.... need a wife car, she hates the full size pickup. After turning off the traction thingy and leaving a 15' rubber trail and driving it he's like 'Holy Poop"! He drove, crazy Finnish guy. Was fun hehe.

Gave another manager from a diff department who has owned only Tacomas as a daily driver before 2000. His 2004 got stolen in 2011. Got a 2011. Traded it in for the 2014, same truck I got, the Sport 2WD, with short bed prerunner V6 Entune with nav.

I drove this time. He looked at me and said "Holy Crap"!!! His grin was amazing, he said it woke the truck up and made it a real performance monster (within reality limits, it's just a V6 pickup.) Like me, he has months of groveling to his long term wife to get it.

My truck warranty with Supercharger lasts till 2022.

Just a update to the folks that can afford it, it's a wonderful thing!

    Trouble free Toyota Quality!

As soon as I got the keys I took my buddy from the parts counter a block away to the Ford dealership and did this................Many thumbs up from the Ford boys

6 car lengths, multiplied by average car = 2 decent strips

I'm too timid to do stuff like that. I'm old too. A few days later I did leave a good 15' of rubber leaving work.

Very nice tho, were you surprised at the power like I was?

Mebbe when you turn off the traction control. My burnout (still there 3 days later) was both tires. Something about getting outta a ditch in the manual. And I read it 3 times and I'm an electronic/mechanical repair tech. It worked, both tires hooked up big time.

Gelo, nice truck pic, Woohoo! Nice dude, ohh so nice.

    :D

I already had headers, 3" exhaust, intake, and ypipe so I def got some serious gains.

SO I always thought until this

I dont have traction control (2006), but I do have an ABS killswitch I use.

Justus, you got a nice Taco for sure! Mebbe in 2022 once my warranty runs out I'll do the same. But by then imagine the Taco, 50000k KW battery good for 700 miles and a real cigarette tray.
