Severe Weather thread.

Yeah. Only issue with that is it coming down and burying the doors. Would have to have a good size overhang to prevent that.

I can't even imagine dealing with that amount of snow. When we got a couple feet here a few years back, it was a little overwhelming. Just nowhere to put it.

 

Stay safe with all that snow! I wish that storm would come up here

 

Or just put the doors on the gable ends of the house rather than under the eaves...

Balmy 12F today in Williston, with no wind. Down right temperate.

 

You guys should move up here to Alaska if you want warmer weather... We haven't even had snow yet in Anchorage. High yesterday was in the upper 40's.

 

It has literally been snowing for 4 days, today is the first day it hasn't. We have less than an inch on the ground.

I'm still trying to figure out where it goes. I think it all gets blown east and lands in Minnesota.

My dad built my childhood house with the doors under the eaves and a steel roof. After spending my entire childhood shoveling snow 3 or 4 times per storm I vowed never to own a house with the primary entry door under the eaves.

 

Ha. I can understand that. At least have a "side door" to use instead of dealing with that.

 

I saw where a house with sliding glass doors gave way from the pressure of the snow and they have snow inside their house.

 

I saw that story too. And can't remember if it was the same people, but they had a folding table and a treadmill up against double doors to hold it shut.

Just crazy.

 

Seriously every time I wake up in the morning I'm expecting snow on the ground and it's like nothing. Not sure where you work in ND but yesterday was a pretty nice day compared to the -20s the other day

 

We had some snow on the ground. It's gone now, raining with a high in the 40s.

 

Saw some tornado warnings in Alabama and Florida a few mins ago.

Supposed to get 51 mph winds here tomorrow.

 

Looks like the weathermen think that the northeast might get a bit of snow for Turkey Day

 

Interesting.

 

Local stations saying 6-12" most of state, 3-6 SE CT. We'll see. It was 62° today. Kinda nuts.
