Since when is the Wrangler an affordable off-roader?

A Wrangler in "rubicon" form is hardly, to me, considered affordable! Quite a pricey vehicle. One could buy a BMW 3 series sports car for the price of that Jeep.

Oooooh. What if instead of quoting and replying, I'll just start a new thread with the reply? How cool would that be.

i think it's pretty lewd of them to put the King RRs sticking right out in front there. just so some country boy can say to his buddies, "looky there, it got shocks on it!" Show some decency and protect those damn things Chevy

Or you could multi-quote between posts in this thread and posts in the other thread so everyone checks both threads

pretty impressive. don't particularly like the way it looks though, and i'm sure it will be very expensive. pretty cool it has front and rear lockers. built in winch, meh. i'd rather not pay for something unless i am going to forsure be using it. resi shocks showing in the front, tacky.

Interesting pictures. One has independent rear suspension the other a solid axle what's up with that? Seems like it shouldn't cost more than $45,000 that's a lot of money for a Chevy.

I urge you to go to the wrangler forums and read a while. While the Jeep is well loved the fact remains they are squirrely as shit on the road, are plagued with serious design flaws, still get insane death wobble and rust like a Tacoma parked in the Atlantic basin and are a constant drain on the wallet. Their own owners create thread after thread about these problems. I'll stick with the Taco.
