Go look up the AF tracking of the a6000. There are videos of it keeping a humming bird in focus at 11fps. Not to mention the focus points cover 90some % of the frame, not just the center . . .
IF the new cam is even better than that I'll be impressed.

Sony has a 70-200 f/4 presently. The 2.8 is coming. Either way I think it may be a logical fallacy to say the "little body" can't drive a big lens. Last I checked the motor in the lens makes up a lot of the work. And tech gets smaller as it goes on usually. Small isn't a bad thing. May I ask what you've based the idea that it doesn't have the poop to drive anything good on? I'm actually asking ha for all I know there's something I'm missing entirely here.

I don't know why people are so against these newer cameras ha the main downside is slower continuous AF tracking, and if they're addressing that and giving us more options on the market, and causing other manufacturers to have to keep innovating to stay competitive, then I say awesome. Sounds like America. haha

Fuji glass is amazing though. Sony glass kind of sucks, a lot. So far.

Lens roadmap looks great, especially for prime shooters. All the staples are on there. Question is, who wants to wait a year for any good glass? ha they're really missing the mark on that one.

Does fuji make glass for the Sony though?

I think it would be cool to have but if there is no great glass with the great body...then...no point..least to me. Glass is more important then body generally

No, but Fuji makes glass for Hasselblad.

I agree. Glass matters more than the body. Bodies come and go. Glass is forever (ish) haha

    What haven’t I changed?
I thought about getting the Sony A7r for use as a slightly more compact landscape setup. Instead of Sony lenses, I would use a Metabones EF-to-E mount adapter so I could use the Canon lenses I have now. There would be no autofocus, but for landscape it's not a big deal. The other cons would be the cost of the body, and the battery life. But, it would be the closest I could get to putting Canon glass in front of what's essentially the D800e sensor.

Seems expensive just for landscapes to me..isn't there an adaptor that keeps the canon glass autofocus? Costs like 700?

Sort of. Most of the adapters that offer AF are slow as molasses and don't work on all EF lenses. Especially third party lenses.

Maybe I'm just out of the loop and need to learn a little more on them? What kinda market do you see a body like that appealing to if it has the best AF out of anything on the market? I just can't think of too many people that shoot short that need the AF?

Let's do a test... I'll buy a A6000 or this new body, shoot it with sony as well as some canon glass and if it can hang with the canon body as far as AF you get to keep the Sony. If it can't hang, I keep it and you pay for it. The test is gonna include some long glass; like a 400 2.8 in a poorly lit soccer game at iso 10000 plus. Maybe well see if it can drive the 600ii with a 2x TC at 50mph ducks?

Even I would take that bet if it was with Sony glass. But I know the Sony can't drive the canon glass AF so I wouldn't.

I'm sure Chaz will say the same.

The a6000 AF is damn fast. And better at tracking. The a9 should be even better.

But again, main issue is lack of glass...

    So really it doesn't matter

yeah, sorry I take back everything I said. Ha

    http:///snapsort.com/compare/Canon-1D-X-vs-Sony-Alpha-A6000

There are two types of photographers; forumograpthers and photographers... I'm not saying the a6000 is junk, I'm just saying its not for me. It might work for some people but that's for them to decide? You can read whatever you want on the Internet but key is finding a setup that fits your needs, style and budget and shoot, shoot, shoot, shoot!

I've been using the Nik Collection for well over a year. Haven't had any problems out of it. In fact I use their HDR program. I use all of it in PS though not in LR. Some of the presets can be a little out there though.

Maybe the learning curve is just too steep for me but I'm going to uninstall it. I felt like it was just a bunch of overdone presets. haha

Yeah, man. 5-axis In Body Image Stabilization (any lens is now stabilized) along with Native ISO 25,600, very fast AF tracking speeds, improved weather sealing, 117 phase detect and 25 cross type focus points and they are All Over the frame, not just the center, and all in a 1.3 lbs package thats 5" x 3" x 2".

Sounds like garbage to me . . . haha :D

Still, no lenses, which is why I found the correct tool for the correct job for me. Fuji. Perfect for documentary style work, travel, portraits etc. and yes, even weddings. SO many Prime lenses to choose from.

I still love DSLR's and I don't want this to ever turn into a either or debate. They are both valid and great options. And both tools apply to a lot of different situations. However, I do see that the mirrorless selections are closing a lot of the gaps and thats exciting to see technology advancing in a hobby that I love and enjoy.

Anyone who hates on these camera because they're "small" isn't looking at the hard facts. And I'm not talking about a specs spreadsheet. A lot of pros are switching because they can get the same job done in a small/lighter package with more innovations. And a lot of people are saying, myself included, that it was a refreshing change that put a little spark into their photography.

I personally enjoy the Focus Peaking when manual focusing as well as the wifi to my phone remote for anything I need a remote for. I did some light painting the other day and had a live readout, in my hand, on my phone, of what I was doing. That's kind of awesome. haha

It's just a bunch of rambling about everyones Opinion what is best... It's like Chevy vs Ford, everyone has their own preference but in the end they both get you from point A to point B.
