Does ********* ever respond to email??

Still no response from ol' rob with 2 more emails and a complaint through PayPal.

 

That is just awful.....I am glad I asked my original question.

I have contacted Mr. Marv, what a great guy to deal with for my future system.

I'm waiting till I fix this situation before I engage him again for what I should have done in the first place.

 

Thanks OP. This thread kept me from going down the taco tunes rabbit hole. I have called Marv a few times and set up a date to go to his place for a day where my system will become magically delicious.

 

You are welcome for sure. It pains me when our hobby turns into aggravation when dealing with inferior suppliers and loss of money.

Just asking and you do not need to respond .....but .....are you the guy Marv talked to me about last night with a 2015 AC appointment the end of the month?

I dealt with ********* about 4 or 5 years ago.

First..I purchased a stealth sub box for behind the drivers-side rear seat. I Ordered it and about two weeks later it came in...sweet!

Second...I purchased some spacers or whatever those are for the speakers in the doors. I never received them...or got a confirmation for about two months.

on the second month, I had already sent tons of emails and calls and forum rants before they showed up. Never again....fast forward all these years...I am shocked to see this thread and that they are still alive!!!

 

If a vendor is not on Tacoma world that should be an indicator of how they do business.... I wouldn't ever buy anything from taco tunes. They have crappy customer service and hopefully they go belly up soon.

 

FYI I just went from a dispute to a claim. They don't even answer PayPal. That is a death sentence for a small company, I guess it is for the best. don't buy anything from them. check out Mr Marv or somewhere other than *********

 

I presume, I have an appt on the 30th with a 2015 AC. I hope he didn't say, "I sure upsold this one sucker" did he?

I prepaid my system this week but will be doing the install myself since I am around 3000 miles away.

Hopefully, mine is next in line in the cue. I have a 2015 Sport access cab. I hope the install goes good, please keep us informed or even better, post up some pics.

At Least I got my money back.... DO NOT BUY FROM *********. In all this I still have only received one email in the beginning no response to PayPal I'm guessing either.

Just a darn shame you have to deal with it. Our trucks are our vehicles to drive but also a hobby to enjoy. It sucks when the enjoyment part is taken out.

Sorry to hear about that..I took the plunge a few weeks ago and ordered my speaker adapter plates and a few other small misc things. Order showed up within a week Strange how some ppl have a run in with them. Sucks because seems like they make some nice stuff.

 

Well that's why i went with them to start. I did not look at any reviews before hand because it looked to be a reputable business, guess not. I have seen more bad stories than good about them. But hindsight is a beast and i got my money back and i will promptly be throwing it back into my Taco.

I placed an order with ********* about a month ago and after a few weeks of sending emails to them they finally responded. They told me that they hadn't received any of my emails until the very last one that I sent. I'm thinking BS, but I asked for a "delivery" receipt and a "read" receipt for a few of the previous emails I sent and I received some garbage back from their server saying that the message couldn't be delivered. So I'm thinking they do have some sort problem with their email.
When they responded they told me they were waiting to get a large quantity of their Sub Enclosures coated at the local Line X dealer and that it may be another few weeks before they could ship. It's now a few weeks later and I sent another email to them yesterday with no response again. Let's see where this goes....I'm willing to be patient for a short while longer!

He is a cabinet maker who is into car audio... a lot. I don't know if he is still making cabinets but he does specialize in boxes for Tacoma's. Just do a search for him here and look at his signature. His phone number is the best way to get ahold of him.
