The shocks are the limiting factor for droop; however, with further droop the leafs do start to separate. Basically OME did their homework and speced their shocks out to get a good amount of down travel while maintaining the factory up travel. They also considered the length of the factory brake lines and e-brake, basically the extended length of the shocks is such that you will not need longer lines.

Question: I have a full OME kit 885's front with 9000's, and the back with dakars and 60091 in the back also got the carrier bearing drop and trimm spacer! I want the truck leveled with a 3" lift will this be accomplished with a 1/4" spacer ? Also have TC arms coming soon ;)

So reading this thread I'm right inbetween 885-886....I have 885s, steel front skid, and sliders now and will be going to 150-160 steel plate front...no winch, stock battery. Anyone running a similar set up? Hoping to still rock the 885s with little to no sag. Same question for the rear. Dakar pack with sliders and what will be a hc rear. 120ish. Anyone with this set up who didn't go to the aal with the dakar pack. Sag?
    Thanks in advance

cant comment on the front setup but for the rear, I have a high clearance bumper and didn't notice any sag.

right after lift stock rear bumper.

about a year later with bumper removed bedsides cut
    [IMG]

    and with bumper on.
Think I had one bolt per side to hold the bumper on.

This pic shows the rear end better with the actual bumper on and maybe a couple thousand KM on the suspension. I don't remember if the trailer was hooked up though, but I don't think it was EDIT:the trailer jack is supporting the trailer I believe, and im unhooked
    [IMG]

Don't think there was much sag, but my very first pic was right after the leafs were installed, so they hadn't really settled. The other 3 pics were from this summer, which was almost 8 months difference.

You can also see my front end in the first pick, compared to the last pick. I have 886's, and I think they settled a little bit. Don't know if it was from the bumper, just the leafs settling in general, as I put the bumper on right after the suspension was installed.

    Hey guys, quick question.

Last week I installed Dakars and Nitro shocks on my 08 DCSB 4x4. Huge improvement over the AAL/Stock shocks that were installed by the previous owner.

Last night I got around to installing some 885Xs and Nitro shocks, OME trim packer, LR UCAs, and Wheeler's 10mm Poly "Lift Enhancer" plates.

I installed the 10mm poly plates because I had seen several others whom installed just 885s and Dakars and ended up with quite a bit of rake from front to back and I figured the 10mm plate offered alongside the OME kits on Wheeler's website was there to account for this.

After driving around 30 miles yesterday and getting an alignment today, the truck is driving great but the front end is sitting about a 1/4" higher than the rear when measured from ground to fender.

I guess my question is. Should I expect the front end to settle at all or should I go ahead and remove the plates now and and get another alignment?

    no worries

Not 100% sure on this, but try measuring from the center hub to the fender, just incase its throwing it off that much.

Also, if you have the X springs, they are not suppose to sag. Not saying they don't, but I don't feel like my 886's have sagged, even with a bigger battery, bumper, and all my skids on. Also, I still have rake, and I believe the 886's are only slightly taller than the 885's, so that should make us about even with your trim packer in.

sure someone else will chime in though , as im not entirely sure.

So, after another 40 miles, I'm sitting like this.

This is from ground to fender, I'll get hub to fender tonight.

    Driver Front - 40.0" Passenger Front - 40.625"
    Driver Rear - 40.25" Passenger Rear - 40.0"

So it looks like I've got a fair amount of Taco lean going on (even with the trim packer installed) and I'm nose high on the passenger side.

Wheeler's claims that their 10mm spacer provides 1/2"-5/8" of lift. So, in theory, I could remove the 10mm spacer on the passenger side and leave it installed on the driver's side and that may even me out or get me fairly close. Any issue with that?

I have 1/4" spacers coming from Wheeler's right now that I could use as well in any configuration.

Also, last and final question. I ordered a set of strut bushings/washers from Wheelers to replace my worn out factory ones. However, where do the smaller bushings go that are shown in the Wheeler's kit? I don't see them here...

It sounds like you are on the right track. Assuming that a spacer yields twice its height in lift, then going to an 1/4" spacer should lower you about +1/4".
    Measure twice lower once!
Make sure that you are measuring on level ground. Even your average road has a 2% cross-slope for drainage, that's about 1/8" per foot. You could even turn your vehicle the other direction to see if you repeat your results. And measuring to the center is the standard on here for comparing across different tire, pressure and wheel combinations.

Oz, I purchased the exact same setup and it's on it's way. Do you think my setup will be more level since I have a LB vs a SB?

I really thought the dakars would be higher than the 885s. I'm currently sitting perfectly level f/R and l/r with trim packer and 10 mm spacer on driver side and nothing on passenger side.

The pic doesn't show the other bushing that supposed to go on the bottom side of the top hot. This is because most of the time this particular bushing is glued in place. The proper order goes like this.

    1. Washer on strut stem
    2. Bushing (busher with extended lip that fits through top hat hole).
    3. Top hat
    4. Bushing
    5. Washer
    6. Nut

    Okay, looking for some advice.

    Current Setup:

    2008 DCSB
    OME Nitrochargers Front and Rear
    OME 2885X Springs
Trim Packer + 10mm Spacer on Driver's Side
    Nothing added to Passenger Side
OME Dakars in the Rear (+ on Driver Side, - on Passenger)

    Measurements:

    Driver Front Passenger Front
    24.5" 24 5/8"
    Driver Rear Passenger Rear
    24 7/8" 24 1/2"

I really was not expecting nor hoping that front of the truck would be this high. Does it not seem crazy that the front passenger side is sitting this high?

Frankly, I'm concerned about CV angles. In a resting position, the outer CV is pretty compressed against itself.

Any ideas? The tags on the springs said 885X. Anyway to tell if they were mislabeled?
