The biggest market for tacos, and Toyota trucks in general, is clearly men, so I have had problems with the seat belt in all three toy trucks that I have owned. They are made for men. So when I buckle up, the belt basically comes across my neck and it really bugs me, especially when I turn. Is there any way to adjust the angle and height of the seat belt?

I have a double can so I'm not sure if your truck has this, but mine has an adjustable seat belt. You can adjust the height of the top support.

Good question.... I haven't noticed it much on the taco, but I did have those issues with our Jeep. I ended up buying one of those seat belt padded things. Cheesy, I know....but helped. I don't know if height has anything to do with it?

My husband is 5'10" and he has trouble getting in & out of the truck (door opening compared to the seating position). He says its too small !! ????

Yeah, Janster, I have loved all of my trucks, but I do think they are build with men in mind. I never had that problem in the Honda or the string of cars that I had before I got my first truck. Do the padded ones keep the belt from choking you on turns?

I'll have a look at my manual this weekend. Maybe they are adjustable. You know, I don't want to do anything that would render them less effective.

they sell something that slips over the bottom half of the belt(part across your lap) and depending how far left or right you have it will determine where the top part of the belt lies on your shoulder. kinda hard to understand if you dont know what im talking about but i can take a pic if you want.

No, that makes sense! Do you know what it is called? I found something called a seat belt adjuster that I am reading about now . . .

I notice you have an 09, right above where the belt enters the side of the truck there is a button. I think you press down on the button and the seat belt height adjusts up or down a few inches. I'm always trying to tweak the button because it is right next to my ear and constantly rattling from the subwoofer base  . I thought about sliding something around the button so it would stop rattling and that is when I noticed that it was adjustable

There is a 4 position belt adjustment on the pillar where the belt comes out. Just push the button down and adjust the height to where the belt fits comfortably over the shoulder.

My bass rattled that as well. I had it at the top notch, adjusted it down one notch, no more rattle. maybe that would work for you?

I have the same problem... tried those little plastic things and they imo were worthless. I ended up getting one of the things they sell for kids (wall mart has them in their auto section). You move it to where the belt is comfortable for you.

I've adjusted the thing on the wall of the truck and all that does is change the height of the belt. It does not change the angle of the seat belt (I'm 5'8") - it still hits my neck (my camry does the same thing). They need to make the buckle end "arm" longer or at least adjustable.
