I'm gonna try that. I saw one similar to that where you load the whole bar with only 10 lb plates on both sides and go to max, slide a plate off each side, go to max, slide a plate off each side, all the way until you get to just the bar. No breaks. Never tried it, but it looks tough

I was thinking of starting out a little below max, which would be 13 plates on each side (305 lbs) and go down from there

Glad you got them Zach! Sorry it took so long to get everything sorted :). I really enjoy the aftershock. Might order some more myself.

In other news. My dog has been letting them rip every few minutes or so. I may die in my sleep from his gas...

Regarding squats............you guys all doing deep knee stuff? I have a torn ACL and PCL in my right knee. I am forever scared of it exploding. I typically do 4x10 at 200lbs and just go parallel.

For me personally and through friends, stopping your squat at parallel takes more strain on your knee than to go ATG. it's like stopping your bench 2 inches above your chest instead of touch and go. Your hip is designed to be loaded at the bottom of a squat, so stopping your squat at parallel means that your can 't use your hip as a bump stop and you are using your legs only to stop the motion. Your knee is design to bend that way, everything in your body works best when it's utilized in full range of motion.

I ended up out of the Army because of my knees. (Well, and a couple other injuries too) Blown miniscus in one, bad ACL's in both, and LOTS of bone loss.

Full range of motion every squat, every time

    Back when Sean had hair

It's alright! I liked the aftershock, too. It was good, but not with milk. It's weird having fruit punch flavored protein, but it's really good with water. With milk, it was like mixing Kool-Aid with milk :puke:

The Hypershock was stuck together, but it was nothing a knife couldn't break loose! I'm excited to take it tomorrow

I do, but when I go super heavy, it hurts some. YOLO.

JK…my right knee has always popped when I walked, but when it gets loaded super heavy, I can feel some pressure; it'll probably be an issue down the road

On a different note, anyone who does heavy deadlifts, have you ever had diaphragm soreness? Wednesday, I did 405x2 and I did it with great form and everything, but from the ground to about 5 inches up, I felt my diaphragm stretching and now it's like my lungs and ribs are sore. It's nothing incredibly intense, but it's kind of annoying.

    Tore my ACL too.
It is a tough thing for me also. My knee makes all kinds of noise when I squat.
I don't do them very often.

Tore my MCL about 3 months ago... About 2-3 weeks ago I was able to start doing full range squats and bending down putting all my weight on my knee. Feels fine now with no issues fingers crossed for the future.
ACL is obviously harder because of its location, that sucks for you guys.

yeah this. Especially the hips being loaded. If you push the ass back, stay on your heels, and don't let your knees travel too far forward you'll be able to go ATG in squats and get a bump out of the hole at the bottom using your hips instead of straining the knees.

Interesting. I've really been struggling with knee pain over the past few years and its really effected my squat numbers. Ironically, I have no trouble deadlifting. Maybe I should just go back to 135 and go as low as possible and start over.
