    Yeah, I just went and read through some posts about. I wanted to see the differences between it, and the C-5.

    www.airliners.net has some excellent information/arguments on both of them. I am still partial to FRED, even though it takes a small army to get him ready for one flight.

    They can also load without having the cargo palletized. The C5 requires the cargo to be palletized because of the roller system, while the 124 can load with the cranes installed. It can also load a single piece from front to back as big as 5tons I think I read.

    I got to go up inside of this thing. Talk about a massive plane... This has a max take off weight of 400tons. Empty weight is 200, so it can carry 200tons of cargo/fuel.

    It carries fuselages of 787's, as well as other over-sized parts. Boeing has been building planes like this for parts transports for years. They bought out a company who built the first "flying guppy" and then the "pregnany guppy." Look them up, you'll think they are worse.
