Thanks, my name is Jakob. I'm actually not even part of MidSouthJeep, I just got to town on Sunday. Yeah, I will say that I like the Solid Axle front while trail riding. The only thing I really like about the XJ over the Tacoma is that I feel it would survive a roll down a hill better than my Tacoma would have....survive is a funny word.lol OH and the XJ is paid off, that helps in the wheeling department.
The sale of my Tacoma....I had to sell it due to random financial pop ups making my paycheck all of a sudden start MATCHING my monthly expenses. Sold the Tacoma, thus paying of my autoloan, had enough left over to buy a buddy's Jeep XJ and pay off the random financial pop-ups and some other things.

Michelin Primacy HP. Same tires that come on a prius. Haha I'm sure they are fine tires as far as mpg and longevity go but in 13k miles I've completely worn the outside tread off the front tires and get super bad understeer around corners and the car wonders a lot and the backs are about half gone. All of this of coarse is from drifting and driving the car in general how a sports car should be driven. Haha so I'm not claiming the tires are bad because the tread is gone, I just want better tires now that I need them. Price also isn't too much of a concern because my buddy is a manager at Firestone and can get any tire at cost to me but I don't want an expensive tire because I'll just wear it out as fast as a cheap tire
    Go home! You're drunk!

Yeah I'm trying to decide if I want an all season tire though. I can't drive this damn car in the snow/ice and the only thing I do in the rain is get sideways so I'm not sure that tire would really benefit me at all. I also have my truck to drive in any form of weather. So I was thinking maybe a good street summer tire but I'm not sure if that means it's a death trap in the rain

Oh ok. So you sold it for intelligent money managing reasons. Nothing you can do about that. And yeah I was just talkin shit about MSJ. My buddy is president of the club and thinks it's fuckin stupid. Lol for rock crawling a SA is def a better platform then ifs. I'm not sure about the roll over protection though. Stock truck for stock truck, I feel much safer in a Tacoma then jeep. Jeeps are made out of sheet metal and plastic. Without a "stock" roll bar or aftermarket cage, I trust the roof and a pillars of a Tacoma much more. They seem to crash really well.

Yeah, I've read a few things on MSJ, not sure how I feel about it, but was considering it since I didn't know anyone out here.
...I didn't mean safer for me, I meant...well, here's how I put it....I feel like if I were to push the XJ off a hill, let it tumble/roll/fly and eventually come to a stop, I could (after sawzall-ing the top off) through the keys in it and the motor would turn over.lol
Believe me, in a "I'm driving...now I'm rolling over"...yeah I'd rather have the Tacoma. Plus, even in a 2wd TRD Sport, I was able to get thru most of the trails I took my XJ thru....not all, but most. I do mostly trail-type of wheeling, not muddin.

Cut & broke off stuff. Prolific ziptie and tape usage.
Do the Conti Extremes last long? They have size I need for my Highlander but ive been anti continental.
I had regular ContiSport or something like that on my Colorado. Fronts slick by 18k and rears by 15k.

Levi, how do you like your rear bumper? I was just looking at trail gear front bumper to replace my SOS and the more I look at the trail gear rear bumper, the more I like it too.

conti pro contacts are good. sports and extreme contacts are very much more performance oriented, so therefore they sacrifice longevity.

I like it a lot. It's a well made cheap bumper I had to make a few modifications to it but it was worth it. And it holds the bed off a tree pretty well

Jeeps have enough problems staying together on a concrete road let alone after rolling down a mountain. Have you seen the Top Gear episode where they attempt to destroy the Toyota? and I know a lot of the MSJ guys, they aren't all bad, just mindless parasites who's ignorance supersedes common intelligence and think guys like me who don't drive a jeep are mall crawlers like them. I always get a chuckle out of that comment.

But we aren't so much a "club" or "group" here but more a loving, caring family who take care of each other no matter the hardships and are always there for each other no matter how much we yell and scream and call each other unforgivable names and fuck each other and strap one another to a chair while hovering ones ass over ones face and shitting in a funnel duct taped inside another ones mouth ............... Anyway ........... We like each other a lot!! :)
