Entune stereo turns itself on and off by itself

Anyone else have this problem?I have a 2013 Tacoma with the entune radio and JBL speakers, occasionally it will turn itself off then back on again.I had an automatic headlight kit installed about a month ago,I don't think that has anything to do with it,but,I hope Toyota don't try to blame that for this weird problem, anyone else experience this? thoughts?

 

I've had my 2013 with entune for a few days now (totally stock) and notice that happening during my test drive. If I pull up somewhere and stop and then turn on the headlights, about 1 in 5 times the radio would turn off. I have the tow package so it already has the larger alternator and battery. i haven't been able to get it to shutdown on me since the test drive, but I'll sub and post if I can track it down further.

Trying to find info on this. My 2014 did it for the first 2 weeks then stopped for 2 months and just started back today.... super annoying. Help please

 

I have a 2014 sport. Radio shuts off when my phone is connected by Bluetooth and a text message comes thru. Have an appt. with dealer in two weeks

 

My 2009 non-Entune did that AND would spontaneously change stations, show weird text (like on the Predator's gauntlet thingy), and when I went to have it replaced, it spontaneously barfed out the CD right when I pulled into the dealership.

Not the same radio, I know. Just info.

 

This is what mine is doing also. Getting a little tired of it.

 

I read somewhere that it has to do with having to download too much data from your phone ie. call history and text messages. I deleted all my texts and call history and it quit doing it.

Its been almost a year and still hasn't acted up anymore. I have a Samsung S6 edge. I delete my call logs and texts regularly.

 

Today my 2015 Entune w/JBL completely froze up. I couldn't adjust the volume, change displays, touch screen didn't work and I couldn't turn it off. Then after 3 min the music that was playing went silent, and about 2 min after that the stereo just rebooted itself.

 

Anyone got any new info on this? My 2014 OR with JBL just started turning off and rebooting about every 5 minutes today. Way annoying and I am not happy about it. Any of you that brought it to the dealer get any reasons behind it?

 

I'm having this issue now as well. It seems to have started after their last update. It annoys the crap out of me since the radio was fine the way it was.

 

Try holding down the on/off for a soft reboot?

I had a 2009 without entunes and it

 

Dealer found that my firmware was old, so they updated it. That should resolve the issue. Luckily, I was only 20 miles over my warranty period, so the service agent fudged the mileage for me. Otherwise it wouldn't have been covered under warranty. Pretty stupid since their update is what caused the issue in the first place.

 

Has it happened again after the update? Ive updated my firmware and it still reboots itself.

 

goto the dealer and get it updated. its the firmware trust me I had this issue wayyyy too many times on my 2014 it would turn off come back on, it will play music and wont let me change and stay frozen. there was times I had to get off my exit and at the stop light turn off my truck and turn it back on to restart it so get it check at the dealer the will update it.
